Team Smackdown: New Game & New Team for LodA

LodA ventures farther away from DotAAn announcement made by ButtonBashers.com last Saturday declared the addition of HON into their gaming list.
They further revealed that LodA along with his newly formed HON team Team Smackdown will be representing them.
Loda is currently busy competing in the HoN League: Check-Six Sidewinder Tournament together with the best teams of the United States and Europe. They had played their first match at Wednesday 11 January.
The team will firstly attend LANs in Europe and grow towards International events. The first event they are preparing for is the Multiplay iSeries 39 in April, with £1,000 at stack (£2,500 for 48 teams & £5,000 if 96 teams sign up).

| Loda and the other drop-outs can have fun @ their Hon scene. Just know that as soon as that happens (the "perma-switch") your nothing but a memory in the dota scene and for all purposes are dead. When Icey finishes making Dota2 with Valve and you come crawling back from your Fail Hon you wont be considered an original dota player/pro but rather a traitor who got seduced by the good looking and easy neighbor's wife, and in the process became unfaithful to your dota "family". Nonetheless i do see merit in switching over after you've hit rock bottom, and Loda, Levent, Hanni, and blight (hopefully mikey as well) maybe can rape faces there since they long since lost the ability to do it where it mattered. |

| Idk why everyone is so obsessed with Loda (Or many other well known players for that matter). I'm pretty sure that 99% of you do not know Loda, and yet you act like he is your best friend. Many of you are putting him down or saying false things about him. If he likes HoN more than DotA, good for him. Do whatever floats your boat. |

| The Noob Way: It has been a usual practice for public games in Garena there are players who got owned and know they have no chance to win will either choose to leave the game and room ASAP or activate Hack files. The PRO way: switch to HoN. Basically this has similarity with Tiger Woods case. He used to play golf at golf turf and now he switch to do the golfing on bed. Wat's the different of hole in one and one hole? |

| Nice to See Loda be more committed, last time we played a HoN together was a good two months ago and he told me he wasn't going to be be playing Pro. Nice to see things catch on, and good luck in our HoN League tournament! Don't be surprised to see more DotA teams go to HoN, I was laughed at when I said this over 6 months ago, and it's starting to follow suit. The truth is, DotA lacks as an e-Sport, you need multiple 3rd party programs to play it effectively (Garena, Listchecker etc) and there's hosting problems, piracy issues, and not to mention it's main downfall, which is it's a custom map for a 7 year old game. e-Sports appeal for games always follows the money, and the tournaments are already proving HoN to be the next big thing. Alienware, Microsoft Sidewinder and others are only the first to jump on board. Looking Forward to Icefrog's new title as well |

| I played HON 4 months, it's cool because I can own a lot. Why? -Because Orbs there stocks and triggers like crazy, even an int. hero can use mjollnir / charged hammer and you would feel your agi. -Almost all carry heroes has escape mechanism. -You can simply counter a line up through item build. Because of very poor scaling of stats! -Gold matters here so much because of that! So expect the game to be played using a boring farming style....  -They follow some updates of icefrog like, CM's 1st, phase boots, treant's living armor etc..I'm expecting warlock will be changed soon too! which is not bad..but where the heck they stand anyway?! I would leave DOTA if HON was only better, but it's not actually it's worst! Icefrog has to do something now or does he plan to retire where is the updates of DOTA2 with valve?  Anyways competition is the reason why we have been all playing DOTA I hope this competition of theirs helps improve the scene! Although it seems we are now divided... |

| #81 You need a beta key to play since it's still in closed beta. I think there was a thread for the ones who has beta keys left and are willing to give it, but I think it isn't updated anymore. |
| I really don't know why are u discusin if HoN<DotA if the news is that Loda is playing another game, just that. But really, it's sad but HoN will be the future... their sistem is just too good and they support a lot of good stuff like widescreen and imba video cards. I love DotA and i met tons of local guys playing it, that now they are friends and we hung out together, but its a game developed by JUST ONE GUY (i really dont se a progress with Valve). HoN is really suported by sponsors... the only thing that sucks its perhaps the balance and the pub rating, but they will fix that with time, they have a enormous player base (30000 players online just in the oficial) with tons of dedicated people. In the other hand DotA comunity fucking sucks and players are unprofesional, just like the organizers, HoN have a lot of dedicated guys that their JOB is to make the game more viable and funcional, do u see the diference? Players will be more professional because it will be more serious, u will se less idiots and more pro-players, just like in China. On the other hand, the lag fix is just nc, I have tons of troubles playing external leagues (NA-IHL was the only one that i could play with no problems, DP is full of shit hosts) while in HoN i played a scrim with an egiptian team :/ I will keep playing dota because i just love it, I play it since a looong time but I know that this will not go anywere too far from now... the peak was too long ago and still there are no solutions for the all time problems. HoN will be the next step and if u try it enought u will know that i am right. Hf Loda |

| Reading the comments, I'm pretty sure Loda made the right decision. DotA community is so immature and doesn't respect his decision at all, insane. Best of luck to Loda, wherever your future endeavors take you, and kick some ass in HoN! |

Pretty foolish and naive. Loda has been playing dota for 5 + years. Normal to get bored, tired, less motivated. FFS. He could have done it even if he were a pro player which he is not (noone is, atcually but that's another matter). Not to mention the fact Levent and Hanni did actually leave dota when they were at their top form - Levent with Ks.Int and Hanni with MYM. And you know that, btw. edit: A "traitor"? Dude? Are you for real? Being a traitor implies having a cause, does it not? Where do you see it? It is dota, not a Revolutionary movement. LMAO Whenever the so called "pro players" decide to act the way the so called community (a bunch of moronic teenagers with no future as human beings whatsoever (as apes - maybe, idk) think a pro player should act, they do it only because they WANT it for some reason of THEIR OWN, be it fun or whatever.
