Loda: 'Chinese DotA has honour'

b7a034f7ba2df417e0b56aea14cdca65e3ccbac393db0058cc02d76c9f.jpgIn Loda's most recent blog post, he speaks out to his Asian fans, answering various questions about his DotA career and what the future might hold.

After losing to RoX.KIS at the Alienware 30 day LAN, Loda states that all he felt like doing was returning to Sweden and resuming his normal life, with his usual friends. He puts a lot of blame on his shoulders following a loss, and discusses a large weakness within fnatic. This was in a reply to a comment made by a fan, stating that Loda was the core of fnatic, while not really being the core. The Swedish star agreed, and said that he often feels lost as a player, not being quite sure as to what spot he should fill. This could be due to the fact that there is no clear leader among the fnatic players, but Loda believes that competing in tournaments, especially LANs, help the team evolve and take giant strides towards success.

Loda agrees with Kuroky in that Chinese DotA is indeed better that European DotA skill wise. He does however believe that Europeans are better when the entire team plays at its full potential, but Asian DotA has this uncanny ability of maintaining a stable and high level of game play, which is what almost guarantees them success.

Fans are two-faced and backstabbing
A big shock to the community would be the fact that Loda is considering retiring temporarily from competitive DotA. He has good reason too, with the DotA community not exactly being known for its good manners loyalty. This is the main driving force behind the potential end of Loda's career. According to Loda, several teams are badly mannered, the inhouse leagues are nothing short of chaotic and fans are two-faced and backstabbing. He is ashamed that he has been dragged into flaming discussions, but one cannot blame this DotA veteran being fed up with the the 'fans' that praise in victory, yet those same 'fans' can flame to the best of their ability with the mere flick of a switch. Loda believes Asia has the upper hand on Europe on another frontier. That being the fact that Asian fans are loyal and have a sense of honour.

If Loda was to retire, it would be a tremendous loss to the world of DotA and an extremely sad one. One can only pray that Loda discovers a new found joy in DotA or maybe the community should start to shape up.
