SMM has just finished. The finals between CommeDieu and FTD was a great match to be seen.
SMM has just come to a close. China did not disappoint fans as they did extremely well in this tournament. Here are the placings for SMM09:

| IceFrog should remove agility hero taverns and other heroes that need 30mins of farm to come into action :l mb this would solve the "more lategame -> more wins" problem. this tourney definitely proved that lategame strats are way better and more effective than ganging or other strats, but... this shouldn't be that way :l DotA should be more observer friendly game with mass action and not boring to watch (lets admit that 3 kills per 10mins isn't that much of a fun to watch, isn't it? :l) DotA needs fixing. Congrats the FTD for their dream came true. |

| #22 from 2007 GL to 2008 EHOME CANT , till now 2009, FTD CD EHOME CH, Chinese team alway came top. I am sure a few counter strats in no time will solve it. |

| congrats FTD. u played some <insert anything> dota. but still well deserved victory. Im so proud the fact KS came really2 close to beat FTD (FTD down mid top rax) but still FTD could manage to pull a megapush. Dota at the highest level. gratz to all team. May the even better team win next year~ |

| Congratz to China teams. As SMM 09 ended as I've predicted (total China domination). I believe is an eye opener for a lot of people, not just Europe. Even America & SE Asia have a lot of catching up to do. The only surprise for me, is the early downfall of MYM. Guess they're trying to hard with their innovative strategies. The outcome doesn't really justified MYM true strength. |

Infinity Ward should be here and make the Call of Duty : DotA Warfare for us. The characters in the game will be those people who can never get over their puberty and can not get over some results. | it might seems FTD use a turtling strat, but you all should see other china team's replay. They finish the game in 30 minutes, there's one in 24 min with the same exact strat and heroes. The final game takes longer because they don't want to take the risk, 13k USD is on the line here. It's a pushing strat. It could be early or late but their main aim is pushing power. All china team use this strat the whole tournament and visage never fail them, different opponent tried different strat like ganking/trying to overpower with late game heroes and all of them fail. China is playing boring (for us spectator, it's obviously not boring for them, they play 8 games straight on day 2 and they still able to play flawlessly) BUT smart here. They stick to what is the main objectives of DotA here, destroying the opposing throne. |

| @#89 i think you`re pretty imature..since only 2 teams participated from europe the pressure was all on their shoulders..if other good and powerful eu teams would of attended(like fnatic,dmz etc etc) things would be different,the pressure would of been split-up between them..the other ideea is that MYM`s players were dreaming alot..i mean they forgot for one moment that they were fighting for the big pool prize money and tried to play for the audience(congratz guys,we all know you`re way better than the outcome)therefore lost.. China isn`t the best country in dota as Koreea isn`t the best in sc(pj has proven that it is POSSIBLE)..i`m wondering if a simillar tournament would of been held back here in Europe..let`s say Denmark..how many asian teams would of attended?(yea,i know,it sucks to live on such a huge planet). |

| #90 and can you plz tell me wth pressure had been on KS and Zenith 's shoulders when they go rank 1 and 2 in ESWC 2008? a simple reason that Fnatic,Dmz,etc,etc,..... not come SMM because they could guess the destiny of MYM or themself . so they have a two choice , 1 :go to dreamhack or stay home . 2: spend a lot of money and join SMM to fight back the biggest ASIAN team. and if i were thier manager, i would choose 1. and i cant understand the pressure that make MYM lose at bracket while they r the best team in EU. and....Koreea isn`t the best in sc  wcg 2000>>2009 korean is gold silver and bronz  |

| Wow... We have Euro-Asia fight and now what, Asia-Asia fight? The team deserved the win, as they beat all the rest, nothing more to add. But the Chinese, please stop being cocky, as your country's population is more than total population of all the countries attended SMM plus together, not to say Malaysian and Singaporean are Chinsese as well (I mean the ones who attended SMM). So don't tell me number doesn't count. |
