SMM has just finished. The finals between CommeDieu and FTD was a great match to be seen.
SMM has just come to a close. China did not disappoint fans as they did extremely well in this tournament. Here are the placings for SMM09:

| Wow this is exactly like how the 2007 SMM was won... by a team that NOBODY thought would win. I'm sure none would have though sGty could have done this, given so many "stronger" teams out there. I've read the interviews on the CEO of sGty (sGty refers to the company that sponsered the team sGty), who used to be a famous dota player in China, and even he didn't sound like he fully believed in this team. But sGty has proven to be the ultimate darkhorse. Standing firmly by their logo "For the Dream" (and wearing that ridiculously ugly team shirt of theirs), sGty have beaten Mineski, StarBoba, Kingsurf, Inc`excello, EHOME and cD, to make it to the very top! All hail the new CHAMPION!!! |

| Every team has his own style of winning.. Europeans are known for teamplay and ganking.. While Asians are lethal for their late game plays and outstanding farming.. and what made 'em emerge as one of the best in the world, even better than Europeans.. I give FTD respect.. very outstanding performance by an underdog.. :) |

| new playstyles always emerge during a tournament and FTD's extreme turtling and 3 farmers are well paid off in this tournament. but if they use this strat again after a month, i can ensure they will be pwned seriously as counter strats will soon be developed in no time. | Please look for their own inadequacies, do you really think that these teams came here for entertainment? If you support the basketball team lost the game in the world, do not you will be accused each other of great defense, leaving interesting race to lose? At least I believe that the Chinese team for their favorite game, every day more than 10 hours of training is not available to other teams |

| MYM did not focus on pushing. While other teams quickly realized they need to push a fast as possible and end the game as early as possible before they get eliminated. This is the strategy. They do not deserved at all to win in SMM. MYM playstyle is not solid. |
