DTS out of SMM?
Posted by Terrence "MrBlue" Wong 2 years ago
There are maybe only two left to represent the West as DTS may have to withdraw from SMM DotA due to immigration problems.
To add to the rumors of JoliE joining DTS for good, SGamer has reported that DkPhobos will not be attending SMM DotA due to personal issues and will be replaced by JoliE.
Current DTS roster:
v1lat (Manager)
GO[blin]
Travka
Artstyle
Zydu
JoliE
LightOfHeavenHowever, with reports of Ukraine's first H1N1 death, DTS's players maybe quarantined as they enter Malaysia. This makes their trip rather redundant as the tournament would be finish by the time their quarantine period is over.
DTS is trying to work something out with the Malaysian immigration. However, their chances are rather slim. Their participation at SMM DotA has been changed to pending until further information have been obtained.
They have until 14.00 CET tomorrow to contact the organizers regarding their immigration issues.

"from all the people u found to argue with a ukrainan guy about the situtation in Ukraina, can u be more retard than that?" Does that also mean getting into an argument with a North Korean about the welfare of the North Korean people would make one a retard? Well I sure slapped my forehead in enlightenment cause u really have a valid point there, good sir!
This is major bullshit.AH1N1 is an artificial virus released for pharmaceutical industry purposes. One thing is certain, that damn vaccine is the main problem.I will not have it.This is all related with Maltusianism theories, this fellow said that the balance between population and earth recources is broken so let`s just kill some of them!So chinesse and indians pls put some condoms on ur ding dongs because u`re half of the world populations, u crazy childmaking machines!
My god..Ukraine got about 300 deaths when i heard the news.SHOCKING !
#103 While chinese and indians are half of the world's population, they also happen to own about half of the world, so I guess its pretty justifiable for them to be half of the world's population lol.

#93 Illidan Not going to get into the rest of the political issues, but a Marxist, anti-American filmmaker and some flaky, avant-guarde film critics in France aren't reliable guides to anything, except perhaps to where a part of Europe's ideological sympathies still lie. Nobody serious is really willing to defend these conspiracy theories you have mentioned because there is no empirical basis for them.
@108 Tell me one thing that is 100% empirical, nothing is and yet u refuse to admit those simple facts, the real hardware is located under the skin, scratch the surface and u are one the good way of being well aware. The only thing u can apply on humans is "homo hominis lupus est" thats the nature in our soul and no one can denay it, thats why when we are babies we kill every goddamn ant we see on the street! Its the human nature at its very best, pure. Imagine a small tree is born next to a big already developed one, what happens, the small new one will die very fast since it will not receive enough day light so it can photosynthesis nor it will develop its roots enough so it can grow, and it will die... The only difference that distinguishes us from the animals is that we actually can learn from our mistakes thats the only thing, its up to u how much u practice that. Last but not least, every well educated person knows one thing and that is Socialism is a level higher than Capitalism, its by far a more productive society and a better one to grow ur children in, thats why the states that are closest to Socialism such as Canada and Scandinavian ones and Switzerland are among the best ones for living in every annual top list... Democracy and Capitalism is for the strong ones not the week ones, and for the Nikolo Makiaveli folowers, where that sentence rules "homo hominis lupus est"... "but a Marxist, anti-American filmmaker and some flaky, avant-guarde film critics in France" M.Moore is proud to be American and he loves his country as well as his own people he is not a Marxist, he just fights the rich egomaniacs like robin hood did in America, cannes film festival is considered to be the best of them all, flaky u say nice one, no comment go eat CFC and get FATer pls. What is a Mass, a mass is a very large amount of anything with same ideal or alot in common like the 70% of USA people who does not know what is the capital of USA or what does DC after Washington stands for...
#109 Why I stoop to countenance your post I'll never know, but I am sick of these generalizations. In America, there is a distribution of intelligence like there is in every place under the sun. I suppose if you go in a village in your country you'll not find any backwards people at all - they'll all be perfectly aware and informed. The fact they graze sheep is because they eschew worldly possession due to ideology.
When will SMM start(date)?
@110 70 % !
#109 In general, I think your comments reflect a lot of typical Euro-Socialist cliches and prejudices about America -- and also the leftist tendency to indulge utopian ideology at the expense of cold reality. I tend to be much more of a liberal in the vein of Sarkozy, Merkel and Klaus. Marxism and socialism have been thoroughgoing failures historically. Contrarily, no force in human history has brought more scientific achievement, liberation from impoverishment and starvation, and opportunity for people of all statuses than the free market system. This doesn't mean that basic welfare safety nets are not necessary -- I believe they are. This doesn't mean that there will not be cases of cheaters and abuse -- there are. Democracy and the free market system are not utopian perfection, but they offer the greatest freedom for individual movement and achievement. Adam Smith and John Locke were right about the fundamental necessity to protect the citizen and his property against the power and influence of the state above all things. Government power and control should be limited as much as possible -- I tend to support politicians who believe this as a principle. I respect the US a lot since its founders understood this well. Perhaps the greatest mistake of socialism is the naive belief in the goodness of human nature, such that a nation and its educated governing elite will be freed from the bonds of commerce (cf. Rousseau) and will thus act not to advance their own power and influence but for the good of all. Such a naive philosophy about human nature, which is rather self-interested and fallible by essence, leads to statism, and from statism follows a inefficient and corrupt system in which people are dependent on the state for everything like children. The left, thus, fundamentally mistunderstands human nature. Also consider the empirical evidence on the free market / socialist question. The US seems to be in the process of changing to the social democracy system of Europe, but once upon a time it grew to become the wealthiest country offering the greatest opportunity for jobs and individual achievement to people of all races and creeds. Other nations can learn the lesson from the US's example that stresses individual freedom and opportunity. The cliche about the 'land of opportunity' has a lot of truth to it. On the other side, Cuba remains an impoverished and oppressive police state. Venezuela under socialist tyrant Chavez is turning into Cuba but with oil wealth in the hands of the gov't. Compare N. Korea and S. Korea or W. Germany and E. Germany before the Wall fell. Western Europe today under its democratic socialist model suffers from steady and high unemployment rates, disgustingly high taxes that kill new business, many shiftless people dependent on the state for everything, and economies so overregulated and controlled by the state that there is little enterprise and opportunity. Western Europe has thrived only under the military umbrella of the US, which could afford to stand down the Nazi war machine and the USSR. In the end, I would rather live in a society that holds as a key principle the protection of individual rights and limitation of government, so that the capacity of the people and their free thought determines the future, not the collectivist power of the state under the title of an altruistic, utopian ideology.
What the fuck.. DOTA PLEASE ?!
YoSnail, democracy does not equal free market. It sounds like you've read a lot of Ayn Rand.
#115 Of course, they are inequivalent and I didn't imply otherwise. They are closely linked in many ways, but that is a long topic. There is a basic conflict, however, between democracy and socialism. In the latter, individual rights and freedoms are subsumed under the ideal of the state and redistribution of wealth. And no, I think Ayn Rand is awful. ('Rational narcissism' goes way beyond healthy skepticism of human nature and statism). She is also all wrong on her basic readings of Aristotle and Kant. I would say I agree very much with Locke, Tocqueville, Smith, Mill, Madison, and most of all Friedrich Hayek.
Thank god. I find her perfectly odious too. As for the rest, I do not quite agree with your views, but cannot elaborate right now. Perhaps later!
Sounds great to me, but I think if we discuss politics and such more here people's heads will start spinning around like in the Exorcist.
#118 yeah pls shout out something along the lines of euro > asia. Then we can go back to the good old kindergarden state of this community.
any update for dts?
just bribe the officer $10 or something.. they will let you pass!!!!!!!!! this is malaysia baby!

YEP Socialism FTW >:) > > Capitalism THat's WHY Starboba(Vietnamese) WIn the ADC 08 and asia WCG 09 =)) lol Just kidding. Living in the country that calls itself Social Country and every single student like me have to learn Marxism and Leninism =)). I have to say :)) it's hard to reach what we call Socialism :)). At least, now Capitalism is the best. However, Future is unknown =)
