It is the last playday of the main round of the ESL Nations Championship and for some teams the last opportunity to come in to the Finals of the 2009 edition of this tournament.
Only the teams from
Ukraine and 
Romania are still undefeated and are safe for the Finals. Surprisingly for many fans, the favoured teams, 
Germany, 
Russia, 
Sweden and 
Denmark have to fight for the last spots for the Relegation.

In a really nice game,
Romania was able to defeat Sweden (
Replay) and has now been seeded directly into the Final Round, without losing a single game. Besides, Denmark won against Czech Republic in a short but intense game (Replay). Sweden and Denmark are now in the Relegation, where it will be decided which team will move on in to the Final Round.In Group A, nothing is decided yet. At first, the game between
Ukraine against Slovakia will decide the team which will automatically be in the Final Round. The loser of this match has to face either Germany or Russia, both still able to join the Relegation. Here are the current standings of Group A.Besides that, the ESL has announced to cover the match between
Germany and Poland vis ESL TV. FiLLy and Rene- (from clan

| I guess it's the first from each group and second and third in relegation. But it's just a guess |
| #9 The team ranked 1 in the group is directly qualified for the offline finals. The no.2 ranked team in each group plays the no.3 ranked team in the other group in a relegation match. And the winner joins the other two teams at the offline finals. The news is not true about Ukraine and Romania already being safe for the offline finals. If Ukraine loses to Slovakia, Slovakia will be ranked 1 with the same amount of points but because the direct result between them count for the rankings. If Romania loses to Sweden and Denmark beats Czech Republic, they will have to play a tie breaker to determine the top3 rank in Group B. |

| @18: that's right, you can call it "tiebreak" ;) still, i wouldn't underestimate all of the "underdogs" on the last playday, slowakia showed some nice gaming just as croatia+poland... the games will be interesting. |
