GosuCup for DotA kicking off

Update: Since we already got MORE than enough teams signed in, the signups are closed! Thanks to everyone. Teams will be released tomorrow afternoon!
I will return from university at 17:00 so I think it will be released at about 18:00 CET
Starcraft is already in the midst of Season 2, Warcraft 3 had some 1on1 and some 2on2 cups already. Now it is time for DotA to pull off with GosuCups.
After a long break, the last tournament was CotA, we will try to host some tournaments with streams, and maybe casts.
For this Cup, the first one, we created the following format and the following rules:
Format:
32 teams will participate, 8 of them invited, 24 to sign in. Best of one double elimination, with BO3 In WB and LB finals and in the grand final.

Sign Ups:
Send me a PM with your Teamname and your roster (usually contains 5 players, more are allowed). The one sending the PM will be team-captain for the whole tournament. The fastest 24 teams will be added to the tournament. Only correct sign ups will be counted. The order in my mailbox counts!

| it is a good tournament to see the new version in action, since dota-league is using that version too :) if icefrog ist fast enough, we will change the map |
| Since this doesn't look like a very cash-prize-heavy tournament, I suppose having it use the new version should make it at least interesting. Anyhow, what better way to get used to all the changes if not by having to play it to win (fame :P) ? This will also help icefrog, since he's been balancing the map according to competitive matches for quite some time. DO IT FOR ICEFROG! :P |

| Ooooh, no Maelk for Ravens, so there is hope for fun games after all! In all seriousness, can't wait to see the teams play. Imagine, TLT, TeG, Ks.int (I was starting to think they disbanded, silly me) and Ravens, all battling it out. Dreamy!  |

| Game Mode: -cmoi if this played in 6.60b,i think you should just enter -cm since the observer info will be automatically entered in this version,as stated in chagelog,and if we use -oi,it instead will disable the observer info.. thanks. |

| rofl are you guys jocking?? 1 NEWS before THIS one you are bringing a lot of high regarded gamer opinions that ALL say that 6.60b is not rdy for competitive/imbalanced and directly now in the following NEWS you say that you let 6.60 be played.... ++++ #39 shows that you have no clue of the game anymore. Read changelog and play some 6.60b before you let it be played in competitive (with game mode oi = observermod disabled zomfg ROFL) |
| #45 calm down, parts of the rules have been copied from the last event. there is no reason to overract in such a way. we have much more than 50 registrations which shows, that it is not that "retarded" to make a 6.60b tournament. |
| Be great if there was some company who could sponsor the tournament and perhaps sweeten the winners' pot a bit (more than honor). |
| we'll see. I'd bet money on it that TC gets banned in every single game. I am just angry about the new version I think DotA developed to the worse with it and making 6.60b already now a competitive version would be too much approval too soon for iceIce. |
