GosuGamers GosuCrew Interview

All of you GosuGamers addicts now have even more reason to constantly hit refresh on our site. GosuGamers is now starting their own GosuCrew Interviews again. With all the time that has passed since the last Crew Interviews, there has been a big overhaul in our GosuCrew. So it's time to get to know everybody. And for those of you who are wondering, my name is "Meester Yen."

We start with the head of the DotA section: Zeyall

meesteryen: Why don't we start by you telling us your name and what your responsibilities here at GosuGamers are.

Zeyall: Hey, my name is Chris "Zeyall" Hett and I am the DotA High Templar of the DotA section at Gosugamers since the beginning of 2009.

meesteryen: Ooo a High Templar, so the whole DotA section are all your peons and you get to boss them around?

Zeyall: Yeah, I am pretty evil. If they don't do their job, they have to watch every episode of Lost, backwards :F. Just kidding, the crew is really awesome and I didn't expect to meet such nice people from all around the world. I hope to meet them at offline events soon.

meesteryen: Are there any offline events you plan on attending in the near future? I'm sure our readers would like to mob you.

Zeyall: I am planing to be at the next DreamHack if they will support DotA as one of their tournament games. After I have seen the nice pictures of the last tournament, I really have to go there. Besides, if I can free myself from work, I will go to "the experience" (if they host DotA ofc). About the mobbing: I have two big brothers who really bullied me so I am used to it :F.

meesteryen: We see a lot of you in the replay section so you must watch a lot of matches. What would you like to see pros do more?

Zeyall: As a matter of fact, I am addicted to DotA and replays. There's almost no day without playing or watching at least one game (that's the reason why I joined GG last year). I like replays that are long and full of kills. Mostly, I don't care about the heroes; it's enough when a hero can escape with <10 hp or when the teamwork just rocks. Or when a PotM arrow just hits the enemy by a lucky shot :F.

meesteryen: Yeah, the teamwork in DotA is so fun to watch. So what's your favorite lane combo to watch? What about your dream mass AOE?

Zeyall: Since I am a 6.48b player (good old times), I love Sandking + Lina and Sven + Leshrac. And there's nothing more than a 5on5 fight with a lot of AOE spells. What about Magnataur+Enigma+SK+Leshrac+SF vs Tiny+Lich+QoP+Puck+PotM? Who would win?

meesteryen: What do you mean you're a 6.48b player? You only play that map?

Zeyall: Nono, 6.48b was the map I played competitively with my old clan. Oldschool Dagger, old terrain and stuff like that. People would call me crazy if I host a game with that old map. I really like that version :) But there's nothing better then a 5.84b, the version I started playing DotA.

meesteryen: So you've been playing a long time. Would you ever consider making a DotA clan? Perhaps a GosuGamers DotA clan?

Zeyall: I have created a DotA clan long time ago and we weren't that bad. But it ended over a year ago and since then I just play for fun (Shoutout to zoork, sniderman, averageman, Schwarzbier and xyn).

meesteryen: So what do you on your free time when you're not working on GosuGamers?

Zeyall: At the moment I am writing my bachelor thesis heading to my bachelor of engineering, subject is network and software technology. On weekends, I am mostly out at some party with my girlfriend and some friends

meesteryen: Sounds complicated. Do you think you will continue working on GosuGamers even after you get your degree?

Zeyall: Yes, I hope so. It's something like a compensation to the normal work.

meesteryen: What do you like about working at GosuGamers?

Zeyall: The people, getting to know different cultures and thinking. And I like to do something for the community, even if it's not always the most thankful job ;).

meesteryen: As always, I need a favorite team, player, and hero from you.

Zeyall: I was a mouz/Ks.Int fanboy for a long time, then Ravens and after that TLT. Same with the players. I like the way Vigoss used to play. At the moment I like to see hexOr, kuroKy, MaNia and of course MiSeRy playing. Favourite heroes are Sand King, jungle heroes, Spectre, Terrorblade and any other non-default picked hero.

meesteryen: That's a lot of favorites. Anything else you would like to say before we go?

Zeyall: Where do we go? Do you want to kidnap me? :F

meesteryen: Haha, I mean finish the interview =P.
