Interview with Sn4k3y

GosuGamers: First, can you introduce yourself and your team?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Hi, I am Sn4k3y and I am the leader of the Bangladeshi team Shadowplay. Of course it is unknown to international competitive DotA, but our team has one of the finest players in the country and we are one of the best in the country too. We were undefeated in 2008 with 10 National Titles :)

GG: How do you think your team has been doing in this tournament?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Well, this is the 2nd time we have been participating in an online tournament, although the first tournament was a total disaster as we had to play on Indian hosts, but this tournament has given us the opportunity to prove ourselves as you can see we managed to beat the Indian Team CoB which is also known as one of the best from India or a lot also say the 2nd best. Since we managed to beat CoB, I say my team has done pretty well lately ;)

GG: Your team has made it to the final four – what do you think of your competition now?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Well, the competition got a bit easier since the Pakistani teams were disqualified due to host problems. Our only competition now would be ErroR, I think, and if we are beaten by them then it is CoB once more that we fear. Although we might beat em once more, who knows ;)

GG: Yeah, there has been a lot of controversy about how SAKT disqualified the Pakistani teams due to connection issues. How do you feel about the whole situation?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Of Course I feel sad that Pakistan teams couldn't continue or go to play the ADC 2009, which is really sad even though they are Asians it is all because of the Internet problem. Tornado Waley, TW had some awesome skills and team work all over, they had some talent which they couldn't prove. Lets hope they do prove it in some LANS like ACG 2009.

GG: Aside from the whole Pakistan issue, how do you think the tournament has been run so far? Any changes you would like to see in the future?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Aside from the Pakistan issue, the tournament was a hit for the South Asian countries, especially for Bangladesh. I guess as it was the first time Bangladesh got the chance to prove their DotA talents. Thanks to Vampire.exe , Saint and our Bangladesh noob admin CvP. The changes I would like to see is to see more teams and more prize money :D

GG: How do you think the DotA community is developing in your area? There seems to be a really high number of teams in the South Asian community.

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: There are a lot of teams here, especially in India and Pakistan. But for Bangladesh, the Electricity and Internet and not to forget sponsors is a problem which makes our DotA level a bit lower than the other countries, but still teams like T.BD and Shadowplay face tough situations and handled them quite well, as you have seen in this tournament.

GG: What does winning this tournament and getting the opportunity to represent the entire South Asian community mean to you?

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: It's like a dream come true and winning a South Asian title is a lot for us, not only for us, also for the rest of the countries that have participated. Though, I think there should be 1 team from each country of South Asia for representing in the ADC 2009.

GG: Okay, before we go, favorite team, player, heroes and all your shout-outs, gogogo!

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Ok, favourite team is Ravens, player would be Vigoss, heroes are Shadow Fiend SF, Priestess of the Moon PotM, and Rogue Knight Rogue Knight and gogogo Shadowplay!! FTW!

GG: Gluck on all your future endeavours ^^

Bangladesh Sn4k3y: Thanks to Gosugamers for the great interview :D I am really honoured.
