Interesting Developments in HoN Today there was a minor patch with some fairly major changes to look at in HoN. The most important change was one that mimics a change that happened in DotA a few patches back. Marchers will now appear in the Outpost in order to even further encourage ganking, and discourage trips back to the main base. Further improvements were made to the interface, including a purchase all components button which will allow a player to automatically grab the remaining pieces of an item in one swift click. Another interesting feature is the ability to link up with a buddy and follow him. Whenever the buddy you are following joins a game or leaves a game you will automatically follow him there until you chose to no longer be paired with your buddy. Changes were also made to a few heroes. Bubbles was changed to closer mirror Puck from DotA, with a change in radius of his ultimate. The Chipper found his first skill ‘Rocket Barrage’ have its damage rescaled from 105/130/155/180 to 85/115/145/180. His ultimate will also have a 50 second cooldown at all levels (from 60/45/30) which may discourage players from using it as a farming tool. This will make early level dominance slightly harder for The Chipper, and will definitely negatively impact his ability to farm after the laning phase. There has also been am unofficial thread on the HoN forums that has announced that Mania of Dota fame will join his former MYM teammates H4nni and Levent on Team KDe. Perhaps this could lead to a full reunion of the old MYM with Maelk and Merlini jumping the ship to HoN? An interesting thought to speculate for sure. All in all HoN is still collecting steam towards a full push to being a full-fledged E-Sport, and we at Gosugamers.net wish HoN all the best in achieving this goal. -Z3ph | ||||||||||||||||||
