Might as well make it official here as well since I had my crew access removed today. Following what Nincompoop and Zeyall have done, I too have left the GosuGamers' crew.

Don't worry, I am still active in the DotA scene. I will now be a slave to Tobi and Moose. You haters can't get rid of me that easily!

Shoutouts to all my former crew. Special mention goes to KongoTime, GoDz, Kurtcos, Treble, Zeyall, Nincompoop, Tjernobyl and many more. Anti-shoutouts to Brettis.

As usual, here is my post SMM blog. Overall, I can see it was a good event. Not the best SMM I have attended, but nonetheless there was a lot of exciting games that was played and quite a few surprising results.

I agree that the bad computers should not be happening, but it is hard when your hardware sponsor decided to pull out of providing proper computers for the event a week prior to the event. All forms of solutions to rectify it proved to he unfruitful. SMM organizers even contacted some harddisk manufacturer's to see if they can help with anything, but well the flood in Bangkok have brought supplies down. In the end all they can do is just use computers from a LAN center.

About the EG fiasco. No matter how you argue about it, EG is the one at fault. If a team is confident in winning their game, they would not mind the remake. That and the tournament rules does say that the final decision were up to the admins. Admins offered EG a chance to remake with a new draft of stick to their old draft, which they decided to use their own draft. I understand how frustrating it is for the players but throwing insults at the opposing team after you lost is just low. Maelk said you dont have to be mannered to be a respectable player. I do not agree, you do not need to be mannered to be a likeable player, but if you want respect from the community, you need to show respect to others first and be mannered. As Leo said in this thread. The rematch was not needed and MiTh did not have to take a forfeit loss. Also EG refusing to show up for their loser's bracket match is a very cowardly gesture, they had such an easy bracket, if they played. They could be in Mineski's position and possibly get top 4 as they said they would.

So anyway, enough about that to the results! First of all, let me say "CONGRATULATIONS MINESKI!!!!!" As my flag and my quote implies, I am very happy for the team, after three year's of SMM attendance are finally able to break out of round of 16. Not even that, they went all the way and got third place. No easy feat, considering that for three years, no non-Chinese team placed in top 3. Sure they did not beat teams such as iG or Nirvana, but they were able to take down LGD twice, beat MiTh.Trust in arguably one of the best game in the whole tournament. Again, no easy feat. Train harder, train smarter, work on your draft and you will win a championship title soon. FYI, you Filipinos sure a passionate, broke our servers whenever Mineski is playing or won the game. Props to you guys! How do I say congratulations in Pinoy?

DK surprisingly only got eighth place, losing out to iG and then by LGD. Kinda reminds me of the SMM curse that LongDD has. Three years of attendance and never once did he win. Nirvana.CN got second which isn't too surprising to me really, their roster seemed really strong since they announced it, which brings me to another SMM curse. No team/player has won SMM Grand Final two times besides KingJ. Finally iG won the whole thing, turns out their roster change is the right choice. Also, this is Zhou's first time winning SMM that was why he was so happy on stage.

This SMM, I managed to meet so many more new people, some which I never thought I would ever meet. People like KongoTime and Mooseman made my time here a very pleasant one. Had such a good time socializing and gossiping with everyone in the scene. I know what you did Tobi during the final night after the tournament.

Also I got to visit the SMM head office today, pretty swanky place. They have themed toilets! Themed after the different Blizzard games and DotA, I took a few photos with my phone but they aren't that good looking so I'll just steal some from Moose when he uploads them. Me, Moose and Tobi had a long postmortem talk with the head tournament admin towards the end of the day. A lot of points from the community have been relayed to them and I am confident despite this year's flaws, next year will be a bigger and better SMM.

Some photos about my trip if you are interested.

So many Razer Orcas!

Me with Mineski. I so want one of those jackets.

Me doing an interview with MUFC's Sharky. Kinda amusing to translate and everything.

Razer booth babes!

All for now. Using my phone's internet, so kinda slow. See you next SMM!

EDIT: Apparently someone thought the picture I took of Moose is a good one for a meme and started a thread. I command all of you to create more! http://forum.gamesports.net/dota/showthread.php?699-Mooseman-Meme&p=12519#post12519

Created 30th November 2011 10:14 (Updated: 30th November 2011 10:16)

Another year another SMM. This will be my third year attending this prestigious event and I am as stoked as ever. Being one of the last major DotA event for the year and possibly ever, I have high hopes for the event and the tournament admins I talk to are delivering.

So anyway, this year's SMM, we will have FIVE GosuCrew on the ground providing coverage. Myself, KongoTime, kurtcos, Leo and Raziewei will all be at the event bringing you the latest results and everything. So remember to have your browser on our site all the time.

We will have various video interviews with different players (Dont worry, Kongo has a good camera). So if you have any questions to anyone, drop it here and we will try and be as accomodating as possible. But dont expect us to do every request. I guess that is all for now. I'll be flying off tomorrow at 6am in the morning and arrive at around 12pm local time, see you guys there!

Alright folks SMM is all over and EHOME is crowned the champion of SMM 2010. This means that this is their second SMM title ever, the first was won back in 2008. I know this post-SMM blog is a little late. But whatever, better late than never.

So yeah, the event ended about 6.30pm local time after all the showmatches and the prize giving ceremony. I felt so damn tired after SMM, I mean seriously tired, I could have fallen asleep just by sitting on a chair. So went back to hotel around 6.30 with my good friend underminer as well as one of the Ladies from Lz.Ladies, Eve to chill a little. Took a shower once i got to the hotel, kinda hot at the venue, sweat so much. Pretty much just chilled after my shower, talk with underminer and eve about SMM, DotA and random crap. It was good times.

A while later, Viv, team leader for Lz.Ladies called and asked to go out for dinner. So we went to a nearby restaurant to have dinner. Got there around 7.30, order some steak and potatoes. It was an awesome dinner. Continued to talk crap after that, went on into the night until around 10 when they were about to close. Decided to continue so we went to the nearby Starbucks, ordered a few drinks and talked until 11.30. Went back to the hotel after that.

The next day, which was this morning. Got up at around 9.00am, still really tired then but couldn't get back to sleep. underminer was sleeping in my hotel for the night and he had to head back home n the morning, so i waited until he came back and we went out again to have Dim Sum with two of the girls from Lz.Ladies. I had to check out then as well, saw Tobi at the lobby when I was checking out, he seemed just as tired as me. But I'm pretty sure he had a good time and was uber happy. He had over 20k viewers on livestream, the highest number ever seen on a DotA match.

Headed over to the Dim Sum place at around 1.00pm and ordered a few dishes and ate. Guess what we did when we finished? No prize for getting it right. You got it right! Crap talk some more. lulz. Talked until 2.00pm and went over to Viv's place to chillax somemore. Left around 5.00pm to the airport. And thats how I am here writing now. The rest is history. Here are some more photos!

Kelly, Dato Dr Ricky Lim and Tobi

The crowd during the Grand Final match

StarsBoba national pride. But I think they had it upside down no?

hyhy and Yamateh

Toby molesting Drow Ranger once again

Here are some of the more interesting experience about SMM this year:

-hyhy is the epitome of coolness among any of the Pro DotA players. He doesn't talk much but when he does, its like talking to someone imba.

-Mineski has a very sick SF player. Veki i think was his nick.

-Mineski Grounds have some very friendly players. Shoutouts to all Pinoys!

-Lz.Ladies are a funny and friendly bunch as well. Epic quote we came up with when I was with them "Viv Pro!"

-I need a new camera. The one I had takes terrible videos. Really sorry about the video and sound quality. I feel really bad myself thats why I stopped taking any. Time to get myself a video camera. Hmm.

-First time I've seen so many Razer gear around. All computers were using the Lycosa for keyboard, the Lachesis or Death Adder for the mouse, Piranha as headsets and Goliathus for mousepads. There were altogether 100 computers there. Thats a lot of Razer gear. Another sad thing is that people would even steal them. Retards.

-SMM Grand National DotA tournament will continue to its sixth year next year with an increased champion prize of RM5000 up from RM50000 this year. Meaning the champion will walk away with RM55000 (~13,000 Euros) So what are you waiting for? Start training!

-Got a Plaque of appreciate representing GosuGamers. Dont normally do this so it feels really awesome to be acknowledge somehow.

Thats all I can think of now. So that'll be all for now. Its MrBlue signing out. See you next year at SMM!

Pre-SMM blog 2
Created 2nd December 2010 15:35 (Updated: 2nd December 2010 15:54)

Hello hello peeps. Sorry for the delay in the update of SMM, kinda busy the last night with some other stuff. So here it goes for a little update.

So when I arrived it took a while for me to get to the hotel at around 2.00pm local time. Feeling damn tired then, just had like 4 hours of sleep the day before but being the GosuGamers in me I went straight to the venue to check things out. Nothing much was set up at that moment, just part of the stage and the player island. So nothing to report there. After that I just went back to my room for a nap.

Woke up around 6pm and called my friend underminer who was gonna bring me to see team Lz.Ladies train. I know, I'm so lucky aint I? lol. Anyway, training was ok, the ladies played really well and I had a fun time talking to the girls. Cool girls. Shoutouts to Viv, Sheryl, Stephyjing, Eve and Posh for the good time.

Came back to my hotel around 1.30am, took a shower, uploaded some photos and chillaxed a little. Then somehow I decided to go to the venue again, which I did. To see them putting the finishing touches to the stage. All I can say is "Its freaking awesome." A massive LED TV for the stage matches to be broadcasted on. Really awesome.

Today was rather uneventful, the crew were setting up the island as usually as the computers just arrived like at 6am this morning. That is what I called hardcore. Hanged out with the marshals, admins and other people after that. I'll just show you guys some of the awesome photos I have.

This is what SMM provides for the gamers. Awesome sauce.
