Tryin to get website on G
Created 18th August 2011 03:34 (Updated: 18th August 2011 03:34)

Trying to get a website on google search.

so, after finishing my social duty by the of april and having my last workday in early april I had a great life, basically, all I had to do is sleep until 2pm, walk the dogs and stay up till 4am doing stuff on the internets, eat, breah, yea..
So, that doesn't exactly earn me any money, not that I would have to pay anything but my own interests as I am living with my parents, but having money is still better than not having any, right?
So after my social duty ended I didn't have any income anymore, I didn't exactly care too much, I safed up alot of the money I made, but the company my dad is working at was in need of a website for a product they made and since someone ordered about 50 or so of those pretty cool indoor bikes which are pretty robust and theoretically never break but are worth quite alot of cash, they had those bikes done but then the order was called off due to money problems or whatever, I don't know.
Now, having quite some bikes just standing around which are each worth a grant, well, not the best thing from a company's view, so they wanted a website to advertise it which they could also use as presenting it to possible customers and also to get people from the interwebs to find out about it and maybe order some themselves.
Well, at this point they had asked a professional company, but hell, webdesign isn't done for free, not even remotely close. My dad told his boss that I would probably know how to do that kinda stuff and he could ask me, so his boss was happy that someone within the company knows that, always better in his opinion according to my dad (guess because that's more reliable in one way or another and since my dad is in a high position one could expect his son isn't some douchy lazy ass (but hell, I am!)) and hence he approached me and I agreed to do a little test layout so he could show that to his boss and he well, I did something small in a matter of house, googled around to do something with javascript and stuff, so it was also a little challenge for me.
I know webdesign from my job training I did, well most of it I've learned by myself via the internet and in a 2month long internetship, but even there I researched most stuff just on the internet, hell, you can learn alot from there, did you guess?
Well, his boss liked it, assigned his son to take care of the whole website matter and get in contact with me, so we met, they told me how they would like the basic layout, I said okay, they told me some more, I said okay, I went home and did it, working a couple of hours each night before going to bed.
So after some weeks of back and forth, going there to show them what I've done, them giving input on what they like or don't like (mainly liked my ideas and what I did, heh) the website was done and we uploaded it.

Now, their only concern is that the website is not found via google, well, I've never actually done anything major that I wanted to be found via google, I did only a little research in the working time, because, well, I am lazy (as mentioned before) and games are way more fun than reading stuff, even though it educates>_>'

So I did a little div box that is removed on the site's load containing words they wanted to be possible to be found via google, now, what I read was that google does not just know about new pages (obviously, duh), however it searches through websites it knows and follows every link and adds new stuff to their cache.

So, here we go, google knows this site, so I post the link here and post a story about it, ugh;P

http://www.ruether-bike.de/

The website is obviously in german, as it is a german company, in the future they want an english version of it, too, the flags and links for it can be seen in the code already, but I didn't display it yet, as they don't have english content ready, so whatever.

So, what is the best and easiest way to get google to show the website on a lower page on google, so it won't pop up on page 25 of the search if you go for "indoor bike" or something alike?

LML and ISL2 - Struggle C
Created 9th July 2011 18:05

hey,
as the title says, I struggle for C, whenever I get my C rank and win a game or two, I manage to lose enough games to drop back down to C-, which probably happened about three times or so already!
With 14 and 15 games the past two days, I think I am on my peak of playing alot, going for about 6hours both days.

But there are still three weeks left for me to reach my goal of B rank, and for now I am at least still in the top 108 to advance, so it's all fine, right;)

I will start streaming now, until probably midnight or 1am or something, check it out:

LML and ISL2 - First lose
Created 5th July 2011 01:33

that's right, I lost my first ladder game, I am SO ashamed, totally not, but whatever.
Of course there are still my initial two loses from my disconnects, but after those two I went 18-0 on ladder, best I've ever done I believe, and that even with more than half of the games being PvT! But I also lost a PvT against noone else than hannigan, the ukrainian mirror match up dodger (as I found out today), he played PvZ PvT TvP .. and before that, he played ZvT ZvP and PvZ .. such a dodger!
Oh well, yea, he plays starcraft again and he managed to take my first lose, he was 14-0 himself, so yea, nothing special, right? And I think Ramms had like 24-0 or 28-0 when I checked this morning, pssh.

And on top of that, before playing minecraft with my friend I said I wanna do C-, which I did. So I am C- now, probably still not in the top50, but that will come soon enough, the top 108 are good enough, or I have to get into the top 12, which I don't believe in, but I can try, right?

Also I was told it's the real Draco! ISL.Draco is the blue eyed progamer.
100% true? I hope so!

LML and ISL2 - Starting

Previous blog:

So, two days ago it all started, the ladder stage, time to ladder!

However, by the end of the night before, I encountered problems with my WLAN.
I lost connection to our router every now and then, probably not enough to play a whole game without disconnecting.

Thursday comes and I try to do some ladder, whatsoever. The disconnect occured in a very unfortunate situation, damn, my opponent probably thought I was pulling the plug, but I knew it was coming, so it was easily peasily.
DT FE, why else would he have two goons and a pylon at his natural after scouting my 2gate opening, huh? My observer was about to finish, he said "hi" in chat and a second later 2 dt's attacked my zealots blocking the ramp, my natural nexus was already half way done, so he couldn't even have an economic advantage, only techwise with templars archive and storm, but well, that second I lost connection again.
I went ahead and backed up my data (took damn long, too much porn...), and finished the next morning. Reinstalled my windows, put the important stuff back on the PC (interbrowsing, BW, Minecraft and my music folder, ofc also messengers).

First I was happy, I could access the iCCup website again on my PC, so I could handle iCCup ClanLeague clanwars again without having to open my laptop. Well, after 20minutes or so, I can only access the main page again, wtf lol, nothing else will load. Stupid.

So, I get on BW and start a ladder game. PvZ, ezpz, probably my best matchup, even though I am changing my bo and playing style alot atm, but that still works out on D level. Just the moment I had my 3rd base up, and he ran some hydras into my nat which got stormed and forced him to back off, disconnect! Awesome, right? Yea, not really.

I am 0-2, close to D-, what to do? My PC won't even connect to our WLAN, even though it sees it in the list, sweet. Well, I disable and enable my wireless connection adapter and it works again.
Back to ladder, some Terran, I hate PvT, so imba! But I win, D rank afterall.
I join another game, another terran, he is very friendly, knows that I am streaming and asks for a best of three, I agree, I win 2-0, he said he played pretty bad, but oh well, two wins for me, I am fine with it.
Play the first T again, beat him again, play some Zerg who I cannon rush on his 3rd (usually not my style, but cmon, put your overlord there maybe?) and reinforce it with two zealots, then keep sniping his expansions with speed zealots and overlords with corsairs, he quits without gg. Then I play the nice guy once again, beat him again with 2base 6gate (how cheesy of me, but oh well) and I am 6-2.

After that my D+ terran friend who I keep teaching a little asks me for games, so I accept and play some with him, McBat joins by later on and plays him.

Well, that's it so far, gotta keep going today, gonna start soon, iCC-CL almost over, 3-1 vs fOsc. so far.

Bye.

LML and ISL2 - Intro
Created 29th June 2011 16:33 (Updated: 29th June 2011 16:34)

You don't know what ISL2 is yet? Well, take a read:
http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft/news/16022-isl2-announced
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=236263

Despite all the drama that went on regarding Kaal's International League, the ladder phase is going to start tomorrow, June 30, and run for a whole month, until July 31st.

I have to say I didn't play that much BW over the past month, about 45 ladder games early in the season, but then stopped after a couple of days, having to do work, helping a D/D+ friend with improving and playing some MineCraft (but not really more than before).
This also lead to me stopping to stream over the past couple weeks, while people on ladder told me that they enjoy my stream (except the music, but that's not my problem).

So, tomorrow it will start, the ISL2 ladder phase, I will go back to playing alot of ladder games, which has never really been the case until late last season, and I will try to get at least into the top108, to qualify for the next round of the ISL2.
This will also make me stream my games again, so if you would like to watch a Protoss in FPView for whatever reason, turn in here:
http://www.livestream.com/thelml

By the end of last season I was B- at around 6.4k, currently I am only C- but with a new motivation, a new rank will come and I am aiming for high B or even B+ if I can do that, I am more than happy.

I will post more blogs about my progress, see you then!
