In relative to my last blog post: http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/blogs/3070 I have recently found another somewhat imbalanced hero in the 6.72c map =) Lycanthrope - Wolves move speed increased from 400 to 400/420/440/460 - Wolves collision size reduced a bit - Feral Impulse damage and attack speed bonus increased from 10/15/20/25% to 15/20/25/30% Looking from the change to lycan above,you know that lycan has his wolves run slightly faster and his aura makes him hits faster. This means that Lycan's wolves will always catch you and they will hit faster making the chances of critical hits going up. You can just imagine that u are playing sniper at level 5.. and 2 wolves that runs faster than u suddenly appears..they just keep hitting you and the critical keeps appear... you cant outrun them, you cant fight them and you die. This buff to lycan, allows lycan to auto chase enermies with his wolves. The damage done is totally imbalanced. The next point is, the good old combo for pushing: lycan+brood... Lycan's howl give a decent +16 attack damage to all brood spiderlings and a it also gives all heroes a massive +50 attack damage. Therefore, in the previous versions, brood used to summon alot of spiderlings and break towers under the buff of Lycan's Howl. Fortunately, now time has changed. Broodmother's spiderling now has the ability to totally tear hero apart (refer to my last blog post). With the help of Lycan's Howl and a medallion of courage/assault cuirass, those spiderlings are totally enough to rape off any heroes despite carry or support. Have you tried out the Broodmother in 6.72c? Those are the changes: - Base movement speed reduced from 310 to 295 - Spin Web cooldown reduced from 90/70/50/30 to 30 - Spin Web AoE increased from 500 to 650 - Spin Web movement bonus increased from 20/23/26/29% to 20/25/30/35% - Spawn Spiderlings spawn count decreased from 1/2/3/4 to 1/2/3/3 - Spawn Spiderlings Manacost rebalanced from 80/100/120/140 to 120 - Spiderlings & Spiderites are now affected by Spin Web - Spiderlings Model size increase slightly - Spiderlings & Spiderites they now take more damage from towers (50%-125%) - Spiderlings now do more damage to heroes (75%->100%) and less damage to towers (70%-40%) In my opinion, Icefrog has changed Broodmother from a Tower farmer to a Hero farmer. =) Please do comment, what strategies do you have in mind for this newly changed hero. | ||||||||||||||||

I recently watched this replay http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/replays/47750 The event that i would like to highlight in this replay is: Even that magina is so farmed, he is so easily countered by ghost scepter. This ghost scepter counters most hitting carries too(for example ursa,phantom assasin, etc..) And this is the main reason why so many good carries are not picked in cm games. Hence, why not make diffusal blade? Diffusal blade has the ability to purge on ghost units and debuff them, making them vulnerable. If Magina or someone in his team has made diffusal blade in that replay, i think they would had won? no? maybe at least a better chance of winning? =) Diffusal blade is such an underrated item in dota. It surely can do many moves that most people don't know. | ||||||||||||||||
