According to eToyChest, Blizzard is asking fans in its latest newsletter if they would like to see two of their poupular franchises, Diablo II and StarCraft, playable on the newest handheld gaming systems.
Now nothing is official yet, but if Blizzard is asking about it that is definetly a glimer of hope. Now they ask if you'd like to play Diablo II on PSP or DS, but with StarCraft they only offer the Nintendo DS as an option. There are many reasons I see this as feasable; one is the touch screen which could be used effectivly in an RTS game such as StarCraft, two the wireless online multiplayer they are introducing to the system later this year would add endless playability to the game once again.
Even if this does happen, this raises even more questions. Is it going to be a straight port? How will it work on the DS with the two screens? Will it be as bad as StarCraft 64? Once Blizzard lets out more information, we will let you know! Along with eToyChest, Lone Shadow Gaming Community is also carrying the story.
