8-man invite tournaments in WC3 and SC

These are some of the things that are going to happen at BlizzCon. Especially interesting is the BlizzCon Invitational Tournament, which they just now announced that it will be 16 invited players (8 for WarCraft 3, 8 for StarCraft) fighting in the tournaments "for large cash prizes". The invitations are based on major tournaments such as ESWC, ACON, WCG and of course the televised Korean leagues. The very best players are to await, and if the tournaments become as prestigious as the Blizzard Worldwide Invite Tournament last year, this will be a hell of an event.

Blizzard Entertainment will reveal their players shortly in the upcoming weeks. GosuGamers are also intending to cover this event live.
