As some of you may have read here, I planned to travel to Roskilde to cover the DotA event. But since the event has been canceled, I also canceled my plans for the travel.

It's hard to say who's fault it is. Some blame the date, since it is in the holydays of many countries. Others say the entry fee was much too high (in addition to the travel cost) compared with the possible prizemoney. But why are the other tournaments at the event not facing the same problems? FIFA and Trackmania have compareable prizemoney, but the attendance list is quiet huge.

Besides that, I am really sad to miss the chance to get to know all of the players, since it is always different to meet them in reality. This would have been my first big event to cover live.

But I guess there will be other possibilities. I heard about a tournament upcoming with a prizemoney pool of 50.000€ total. I couldnt find a confirmation for that, but I will try to update this as soon as I know more.

So what else is to say? GosuCup is running smooth and for a non-prizemoney event, all the top teams are playing (besides Ravens, where the players are n vacation). At the moment, the quarterfinals will be played and there will be really interesting matches.

The opponent for Serbia srs is not known yet and will be decided between EG.Dota and the spanish team Non Servium.

I think I will continue writing this blog here, because this gives me the possibility to write about things from my point of view :)
