Blackman - Bound to return

With two weeks since his last victory and GosuGamers had a little chat with Blackman, the Meet Your Makers King of the Hill speaks about the upcoming games and last round's match versus DkH.Ghost.

First of all, how does it feel? You're the King of the MYM hill!
- It's been a long time since I have felt like this. The Starcraft Community, that I've been into more or less, but for quite long, is one of the very best playgrounds of mine. It seems I'm bound to constant returning to it to enjoy the toys again and again.

You won versus Ghost, were the games easy or was he a tough opponent?
- A friend of mine once told me I get better with every game. I truly believe in this and as far as I remember the easiest game for me was the last, when the schemes started to draw clearer in my head. But of course the first two games were mere a chaos, at least for me. I'm too distracted person nowadays, less stable in the game and thus I experienced a lot of distress during these games.

And what was more of a cause of distress, the video casting or the opponent himself?
- To be really honest, I don't much have an idea how huge this kind of event may be. I hate it most when I can't do things I used to do, even though I'm positive I am capable of doing it. Old tricks, multitasking, they all require a lot of training. I'm more mad at myself during a game than at anyone else, especially the people receiving the bytes of the transmition in their TVs.

What about today's games, versus gohan? Are you looking forward to playing him? Will you train for it?
- I guess so. Though I think Gohan was right, when he said I'm avarage now. There's a lot of training a head of me to become a real threat for any of the top players again. And somewhere in a dark place where no-one sees me, I prepere my darkest of schemes of mass invasion on humans.

I hate to be homeless and I've been there for quite a time I don't really want to change my present address.
- Blackman about MYM
So you think you'll take gohan tonight?
- It would be an unexpected turn of events. Although I'd be satisfied if someone won a couple of minerals in gosubets while betting on me.

Do you gosubet yourself?
- No. I don't enjoy gambling.

Not even for minerals?
- Well, on the other hand, this could be funny. I don't know whether I'd bet on myself. Never done such things.

What do you think of MYM KOTH, generally?
- Long ago, tick years I'd say, when the replays were still in their imaturity and battle reports reigned, there were Showmatches quite similar to this series. Perhaps people don't remember how good and popular it was. I think there should be more events like this.

Another thing I remember, is a series of invite only tournaments where every player smurfed. It was kind of intense since the audience didn't know who the players are and knew only the winner in the end. The whole "guessing" was the funniest part in it.

Lately the MYM team have used admins instead of players a lot, why is that and what do you think about it?
- Hmm... I'm not quite sure what was the reason for it, except that no-one came. Usually you get a message like "We're playing a CW then and then...", you answer "OK. I'll be there." or "Sorry, I'm doing and I can't." "Can you play later?" "Yes/No" and that's it. At least for me it's a matter of saying Yes or No.

"I don't know." is not an option, since in every situation you can pick a probability level of your action and say more or less Yes or No. The thing that happened is of course bad. Since we have a lot of good players. And we are capable of winning. I simply can't imagine how it really happened in spite of internet communication you get almost everywhere now.

If you're thinking about getting back on the BW horse (sort of speak) will you stay in MeetYourMakers?
- As a matter of fact yes, if they let me to. I hate to be homeless and I've been there for quite a time I don't really want to change my present address which is www.meetyourmakers.com. Perhaps some of us are not too active, or not good enough to compete seriously, but I have never ever encountered an arrogant behavior, boasting, flaming at each other etc. There are teams out there with perhaps very skilled players, but having very little or no ability to behave in a group. I don't want to belong to such teams any part of me including the one I'm sitting on right now.

Okay, so let me ask you, do you still have long hair?
- Hehe. No, I've cut them down maybe 2 months ago. It's the second time I've done such thing, due to no reason at all. It seems, though, they got used to growing long, since I've begun to turn into a fur ball already.

After five games, the new member of Templars of Twilight, GohaN took the last game on Ride of Valkyries. Replays are up for download in the tables!
