[s]event_10[/s]

With the WCG 2005 Finals starting in just a few days, we at GosuGamers.net will be interviewing several competitors before the tournament. Today, I managed to get in touch with two out of the three German competitors: Selector and BrEaKdOwN

With much anticipation growing about this year's World Cyber Games finals, we at GosuGamers.net will be doing our best to bring you the most up-to-date coverage that we can. Our very own
Sweden Mazor will be leaving for Singapore tomorrow where he will be keeping us all updated. Unfortunately, there's still only a couple more days to wait so right now we will be bringing you our second set of interviews.

He finished 3rd at the WCG qualifiers in Germany which surprised a lot of people due to his dark past. In the past, he was caught hacking and abusing on several occasions, but at WCG he showed that he could compete with the best. Having been taken under the wing of Germany ToT)Mondragon( who helped him train for the qualifier turned out to be a great help for him.

First off, can I get your name, age, location?
- Florian Rappl, 21, Regensburg (Germany)

How have you prepared so far for this years WCG finals?
- Had a look at the Maps - due to moving I wasn't able too practice much the last month. I am weak...

How many games have you been playing each day to practice?
- About 0 - on some I was at one of my friends' flat and practiced about 10
games.

What do you think of the maps this year? Any you do or don't like?
- I like 'em - but they are > me :(.

How confident do you feel in your play? With players like Legionnaire, Ex, and Odin in your group do you still feel that you can qualify?
- I don't fear them. I can beat all of them but I think i won't do so. I just
practiced less. But my aim was too qualify and I did. Everything now is just
the cream on the ice...

What are your predictions about the top 3 this year?
- Koreans everywhere - maybe 1 non-kor but only due to grid - let's see.

Are there any players that you're looking forward to meeting at the tournament?
- Midian, Testie, Sen, etc. - in fact I feel very curious about meeting them.
Different culture - maybe different look - it will be amazing!

When will you be leaving for Singapore?
- Tomorrow (Monday) at 4 am I will get to the train station - going to
Frankfurt Airport and from there at 11.30 am fly to Singapore (13 h).

Have you started preparing for your trip yet?
- Yes - but only cosmectics, cloths, and you know - digicam etc. ;D

Are you going to Singapore with the rest of the German competitors?
- Yes, we will all meet at Frankfurt Airport.

Ok, is there anything else you would like to add before you compete in the tournament?
- I wanna say thanks to Dissy. I wanna say Hello to Arthur and all my finnish friends. I want to kiss Simone and wish her nice days - I'll be back soon. I want to add: My parents for their support and my colleagues at work and Mr. Roos - thx a lot for everything. I just add some names: Greetings to the new guy, the house, Moribori, Christ, Lisa, Kathrin, and all the ones which should be managed here but space is expansive and time is running out. See yas soon again.

He is considered one of the best players in Germany and one of the best non-korean zerg users. He has shown time and time again his strength in many different leagues in tournaments. Along with just a few other non-koreans, he's seen as one of the few that has a chance to make it into the top three.
