The ESL One New York champions, Vega Squadron and Team Empire have confirmed their participation into the CIS playoffs of Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1.
The last stage of the qualifier process for the CIS region will start today with the four teams that resulted from the Igromir LAN event held at the beginning of this month in Moscow plus two directly invited teams that are seeded straight to the final rounds, namely Team Empire and Vega Squadron.
Although Goblak’s new project at that time, Team 123 was one of the qualified team, because of their recent disband they’ve been replaced by Arcade.PowerRangers. The other three qualified teams are Hellraisers, Scary Facez and CIS Rejects.
The CIS playoffs will be played in a best of three single elimination format, with best-of-five finals to determine which two teams will join the other regions qualified teams for the studio playoffs LAN held in Vilnius, Lithuania from 30th November to 3rd December.
