FACEIT has announced the CS:GO Pro League with $20,000 prize pool every month.
FACEIT has just announced a whole new league system for players, where the community will be able to team up with pro players to try and win some of the prizes. The aim of the league is to offer a highly skilled matchmaking environment and give the community the opportunity to watch unconventional matches with mixed teams created amongst the best European CS:GO players.
Naturally, the initial player pool will consist of professional players coming from the best European teams, however, the community players will still have a chance to group up with these pro players, but in order to do that they will have to pass certain levels of the qualifiers. The top 60 players of the Master League will qualify for a 5 day qualifier, which will guarantee the top 5 players access to the Pro league.
Virtus.pro's Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas had this to say following about this new project:
Olof "Olofmeister" Kajbjer of Fnatic added this:
FACEIT’s goal is that this system will give new young talents the spotlight they deserve and a unique chance to challenge themselves with the most known and talented players of the scene.
