TeSPA announces college tournament

A few days ago, TeSPA, a veteran in the eSports scene, announced a Collegiate Hearthstone Open tournament for college students. The tournament, according to TeSPA, will bring together 512 college students from North America to compete for $5,000 and the title of College Hearthstone Champion.

The tournament, hosted in North America, is said to be completely free-to-enter and will give away sets of five Hearthstone packs to ten lucky players at random apart from the $5,000 prize pool.

TeSPA, being a network of top collegiate talent in eSports and gaming, was formed at The University of Texas in Austin. Over the course of two years, with over 700 members joining, TeSPA has become one of the bigger eSports organizations. In March of 2012, the crew hosted its first tournament, a StarCraft II invitational, which opened the doors to further endeavors. Following said tournament, TeSPA has held many other tournaments for several gaming ranging from StarCraft II all the way to League of Legends.

The Hearthstone tournament is set to start at the end of March.
