The fifth session of the WPC-Ace League kicks off on the 9th of October after a three day break from play. This week features an important mid-ladder clash between LGD.cn and LGD.int.
The first match begins at 10:00 CET with the undefeated DK taking on Rattlesnake. Both teams feature heavily altered player rosters from The International 3 where they both competed. DK are the overwhelming favourites to win with 92% of branches bet on them for the 2-0 victory.
TongFu and IG both sit at an equal second on the ladder with 3 wins and only a single loss. IG take on Cupid’s Hearts this session and are tipped to win with their opponents only managing a single victory over bottom of the table Adidas.
The matches to watch will be the two matchups between TongFu vs Vici Gaming and LGD.cn vs LGD.int. TongFu will be pushing hard to get a 2:0 victory to maintain their shared second place, but Vici Gaming also feature a talented line up and will without a doubt prove themselves to be no pushovers. TongFu, however, are on a three game winning streak after losing their first match and have all the momentum coming into this match.
LGD.cn vs LGD.int is another important match up, with both teams only separated on the ladder by a single point. Both teams are a single win away from second place and a win here is vital for them to stay within striking distance.
In the final match of the round, seventh place Rising Stars take on bottom of the table Adidas. Rising Stars sit two points outside of the top six and winning will be essential to ensure their chances of making it to the playoffs.
The 5th session extends till the 11th of October concluding with Rising Stars taking on Adidas at 10:00 CET. The 6th playtime begins on the same day at 13:00 CET.
