Innovation all-kills EG-TL

It's a disastrous start of round five for EG-TL as they find themselves on the receiving end of yet another all-kill, this time by STX's ace Innovation who ploughed through HerO, Taeja, Jaedong and Alive.

Before EG-TL's bitter defeat, however, Team 8 went on to play SK Telecom T1. After a drop in their performance in round four (finishing fourth after STX, Khan and Woongjin Stars), Boxer's boys came dangerously close to losing their top two spot in the rankings and KeSPA's team came to help them with that.

SKT opened with s2 who at that point was at 6-1 in ZvT and has been their go to guy for killing Terrans for quite a while now. Not disappointing, s2 played a 30-minute long WoL-styled match against Cure and gave SKT the flying lead, ready to meet and beat the next Terran that T8 would throw at him - TY.

There, on Akilon Wastes, s2 suffered one of his very few ZvT losses as TY came at him packing hellbat incineration and small-scale skirmishes to pick him apart piece by piece. TY continued to gather momentum and took care of one of SKT's finest in Fantasy in equally impressive TvT. Knowing Fantasy's favoritism towards harass-oriented play, TY took a defensive posture for the better part of the game until he got a great trade in the middle of the map that allowed him to set camp at Fantasy's production facilities and make him tap out.

It took PartinG's incredible defense to stop TY but this onset even more problems. Next on the line was Terminator who redeemed himself of his previously horrible PvP score and dominated both Parting and Rain in macro PvPs, bringing T8 a much needed victory.

In the second match of the day, it took Innovaton less than one hour to go through the four players EG-TL sent against him and joined the all-kill Proleague club. The Code S quarterfinalist played every match-up and every playstyle spectacularly, his strategies varying from double pronged attacks (vs HerO), marine/tank busts (vs Taeja), standard bio-mine (vs Jaedong) and reapers (vs Alive).

This is the sixth all-kill that the joint roster - now under coach Park's mentership - has suffered in the Proleague, making their prospects of reaching the playoffs very grim. Currently, EG-TL are at -32 point - the lowest they have ever been - two wins behind the 7th in the rankings Team 8.

Tomorrow's Proleague matches are KT Rolster vs Samsung KHAN fighting for the top four spot and CJ Entus going against the leaders of Woongjin Stars.
