The sixteen teams will clash over the course of four days in a bid to prove their capabilities as rosters, as well as securing the lion's share of the whopping $250,000 prize pool.

Last night we saw mousesports, Team EnVyUs and Renegades enter the competition, as each of the teams managed to top their respective regional qualifier. Mousesports managed to sustain a 6-1 map record over their closed qualifier run, dropping but a single map to Space Soldiers in the round of eight. In the grand final the team faced FlipSid3 Tactics, who only managed to secure a total of nineteen rounds on the European rounds (de_Mirage - 16:11, and de_Cobblestone - 16:8).

As for the Frenchmen of Team EnVyUs, the team dropped twice as many rounds as the Europeans at two. Interestingly, they were dropped against Playing Ducks and Heroic in the round of sixteen and round of eight respectively. In the grand final EnVyUs met HellRaisers, where the European mix played a solid couple of maps, however never quite managed to close, falling with 11:16 and 13:16 score on de_Inferno and de_Overpass, respectively.

Concluding the list of LAN participants were Renegades, who managed to top thirty-one other teams in the North American qualifier. Over the course of their run the team dropped three maps to EZG eSports, Denial eSports and Team Liquid in chronological order, whereby they faced EZG in the round of sixteen, Denial in the round of eight and Team Liquid in the grand final. Despite getting stomped on the initial map of the series against Team Liquid (4:16, de_Mirage), Renegades persevered, securing map two in overtime at a grindy 19:17 on de_Cobblestone. The deciding map was de_Train, where the Australian roster dwarfed their opponents at 16:12.
