ESL announced they have handed out an invite to FaZe who are now the third confirmed team for ESL One: New York 2017.
New York City is preparing to host ESL One: New York for the second year in a row. Set to take place between September 14th-17th, the 2017 iteration of the event will feature the best teams around the globe fighting for the prestigious ESL One champions' title. Despite having three months until the start of the tournament, ESL have already started to announce invited teams.
With the latest announcement, 
FaZe Clan joined 
Virtus.pro and 
Natus Vincere in the confirmed teams list. Since its formation, FaZe have always been in or around top-10 but their latest roster changes put the European mixture in the highest tier of competitive Counter-Strike. 
Finn "karrigan" Andersen's team made three grand final appearances in a row and won one of them, namely StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3.
Despite their impressive form, FaZe surprisingly missed out the latest big event, ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals. On the other hand they have a decent amount of tournaments ahead to prove their status as one of the best teams in the world, notably ESL One: Cologne 2017 and of course, the PGL Major Kraków 2017 itself.
ESL One: New York 2017 is also one of Intel Grand Slam tournaments which will award $1.000.000 to the first team to reach four ESL and DreamHack championships.
