Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro have received direct invites to ESL One: New York 2017.
ESL One: New York 2017 will be taking place this September 14th-17th, hosted at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, United States. Eight teams from across the globe will collide, facing off for an as of yet undisclosed prize pool, as well as the Champions' glory. With three months till the event, ESL have announced two participating teams that have received direct invites to the LAN finals of the event. Returning champions 
Natus Vincere will be defending their title this Autumn. Recent results haven't been too hot for the CIS mix, and this event will be their chance to remind the world of their raw capabilities.
Last year the team managed to snatch the ESL One: New York 2016 title off the second announced participants, 
Virtus.pro, in the grand final. The teams faced off in a best-of-three setting during the grand final, a series that saw Na'Vi come back from a 3:16 stomp on de_Cobblestone, outperforming the Poles on the following two maps, with a 16:8 victory on de_Train followed by a W on the deciding map, de_Mirage, that saw an overtime and a subsequent 19:17 victory for Na'Vi.
