Animal Squad forfeit ESL Pro League spot

ex-Winterfox, also known as Animal Squad, have forfeited their ESL Pro League spot.

Animal Squad, a CS:GO roster that used to represent Winterfox have forfeited their ESL Pro League spot. The roster had been through various hardships in the recent past, whereby their previous organisation is said to owe the team a month's worth of salaries and was unable to provide the team travel from Oceania back to the United States, leaving them stranded. During the time that the team found themselves stranded they had official matches scheduled for ESL Pro League. As a consequence of their geographical disposition the team was playing with inferior latency, leading to more than a single bitter loss.

After the aforementioned situation the team was granted Winterfox's ESL Pro League spot, however as it has emerged the team have decided to forfeit it, stating line-up issues as their main reason behind the decision. As a result the team has now been disqualified from ESL Pro League and all prize money secured by the team over its course has been revoked. In addition to this, all the results from matches that the team played during EPL have been voided, as a consequence improving the win ratio of Brazil Luminosity Gaming and United States Team Rush

Official ruling below (source):

Following their forfeit of multiple matches, Animal Squad will be disqualified from the ESL Pro League. In accordance with rule 2.15, the team will forfeit all prize money accumulated over the whole season.

Additionally, all of the team's matches, including previous results, will be voided and will not be taken into consideration in the ranking.
