ELEAGUE reveal $250,000 Clash for Cash: The Rematch

ELEAGUE have revealed a $250,000 event that will see ELEAGUE Major finalists Astralis and Virtus.pro face one another in a rematch.

ELEAGUE, hosts to the most recent major tournament have announced a rematch between the two finalists of the monumental event that took place in January. Astralis and Virtus.pro will face one another on June 16th, allowing Virtus.pro a chance at revenge or alternatively it will give Astralis a chance to reinstate their superiority. Either way, the teams will be fighting it out for a whopping $250,000 prize pool that will see the victor take it all. Formatting for the event will be exactly the same as for the major, with the teams facing off in a best-of-three setting.

To refresh your memory, Astralis were able to outperform Virtus.pro at the grand final of the ELEAGUE Major 2017 with a 2-1 map score. Not only was the team able to secure the title, they demonstrated astonishing mental fortitude that allowed them to come back from deficits during the final two maps of the series, utterly crushing the Poles in the process. The aforementioned two maps were won by the Danes at a nail-biting 16:14 score.

If the grand final of the ELEAGUE Major was anything to go by, this rematch will see some of the finest CS:GO to date. Both teams fought valiantly, however the Danes were destined to secure victory through determination, perseverance, a bit of luck and hard work. This will be a fantastic chance for the Polish team to prove their capabilities to not only their fans, but most importantly themselves.

Matches will be broadcast at 22:00 ET (04:00 CEST) on TBS, Twitch.tv, YouTube and ELEAGUE Live Game Command.
