Gambit Esports secure a victory against G2 Esports with a 2-1 map score, securing their spot in the grand final.

Semi-final #2

Kazakhstan Gambit Esports vs. France G2 Esports

de_Nuke - 22:25 (7:8, 8:7, 3:3, 3:3, 1:4)

Gambit kick off to a stunning start, as team superstar AdreN is able to land a pistol 4k, wrecking all chances of the Frenchmen taking it away. The team continues their dominant stint through the following rounds, including G2's first full buy, to produce a 4:0 initial lead. Round five was the first where the Frenchmen were able to produce a victory, as a bomb plant coupled with a team ace put a dent in the economy of the CIS mix. HObbitt shows up in round six, culling three members of G2, with Dosia and  Zeus dispatching the remaining opponents, closing the round. Taking notes from his teammates, the  X GodX God himself steps up in the following round, landing a beautiful 4k to produce yet another round at 6:1. Faced with a situation that seemed to exponentially worsen, G2 started accruing rounds. Outstanding performances are seen from all members of the stacked French team, allowing them to get back into the game with an equaliser at 6:6. The teams exchange a round each, retaining the equal nature of the score line, however the last round saw a stunning AWP performance from KennyS, that ultimately opened the round for a victory on round 15, placing the Frenchmen at a slight lead with an 8:7 initial half conclusion.

Once again the CIS mix is able to produce a pistol victory, equalising the score once again at 8:8. Quick work was made of the Frenchmen with an anti-eco buy, as well as quite a decent amount of money for Gambit, extending the lead by one. The lead was short lived, capping out at 10 for the CIS representatives, as G2 inevitably start affording rifles and hence rounds. The Frenchmen brought the fight to Gambit, able to once again equalise the match at 10:10. On round twenty one, a struggling economic situation saw Gambit buy pistols and a sawed-off shotgun on Zeus. The team was able to turn the situation around, dropping all but one G2 Esports member in KennyS, once again securing a lead. NBK steps up for his team in round 22, striking down three members of the opposition on the A bomb site, in turn re-equalising the round score at 11:11. Not only did the natural born killer secure his team a round, as a result of the team's victory Gambit's economy was in tatters. A half-buy proved to have a negative outcome, with the ball in G2's park at 12:11. Gambit opt for a technical pause after the string of lost rounds, and it seemed the conversation was successful, as the team went on to equalise with 12:12. G2 were eager to close the match out, slamming the CIS mix in rounds 25 and 26, leading with a close 14:12. Unwilling to concede the map, Gambit mount resurgence, clawing two rounds in their favour, producing two rounds in the team's favour at 14:14. Conceding yet another round, Gambit are faced with the possibility of a loss, opting to max out a buy. The high risk provided a massive reward, as Team Captain Zeus was able to secure four crucial kills to keep his team in the map, pushing it into overtime at 15:15.

G2 Esports cruise through the first three rounds of overtime on the CT side, two of which saw a godly performance from NBK, securing two back to back triple kills at B ramp. Having switched sides, Gambit were able to grab a round to their name, largely thanks to Zeus, who was able to bring his team back from a two man disadvantage. This gave the team a mental boost, enabling all members of Gambit to fire on all cylinders on the defence. Said elevation meant for an equal conclusion of the first overtime at 18:18.

Gambit Esports recreate their opponents' performance in OT2, able to smash the Ts three consecutive rounds. Six consecutive rounds are accrued by the CIS mix, very nearly closing out. Round 39 saw a close call for G2, as the Frenchmen found themselves in a 2v1 situation against HObbitt. The young Kazakh was able to dispatch one of the members of the opposition, however KennyS remained alive to tell the tale after just about defusing the bomb. G2 give Gambit a taste of their own medicine, securing both remaining rounds of the second overtime, leading to OT3 at 21:21.

G2 Esports secure the initial round on the CT side, however Gambit follow up with the first T side OT victory between both teams, leading to a 22:22 score. Round 45 saw KennyS once again play a crucial role in securing his team a round, as a 4k allows the team to come out of the initial half with a 23:22 lead. G2 best Gambit in the following two rounds on their T side to secure Nuke at a 26:22 score.

de_Train - 16:12 (5:10, 11:2)

G2 Esports secure their first pistol of the series on the CT side, shutting down Gambit's aggression. apEX and NBK share a double kill each, playing a crucial role in the team's early success.  Gambit go for a pistol buy which proved to be successful to say the very least, as the team was able to secure a bomb plant, as well as dismantle the CTs in a post-plant situation, equalising the score. The CIS mix cripples the French economy, instead enabling themselves to grab two rounds thanks to the favourable situation at 3:1. Round  five saw G2's first full buy, the course of which was shaky, as the team found themselves in a 2v1 situation where KennyS fell prematurely to a clutching ZeusapEX was the final  member of G2 alive, able to dispatch Zeus, save an AWP and defuse the bomb, leading to a 2:3 score for the Frenchmen. Two additional rounds were accrued on the back of this success, with bodyy stepping up in round seven, scoring a triple kill. With Gambit unable to effectively secure openers on bomb sites, the team was gradually amassing a heft deficit, transferring the weight onto the latter half of the map. G2 keep the pressure up on the CT side, continuously smashing out round, all the way to a 10:3. Round 13 saw a spectacular show of patience from shox, as the Frenchman was able to sneak up behind two members of Gambit, lining up two Deagle headshots to close out the round. Gambit are able to produce their fourth round in the following round, as Dosia lines up three kills to guide his team back into the game. Concluding the half, Gambit secure a plant on the B bomb site and dispatch the remaining members of G2, facing a 5:10 deficit prior to transitioning into the second half.

A bit of malarkey is seen on the second pistol round, that eventually fell in favour of Gambit, as Zeus stuck a defuse on the bomb during a 2v2 situation whilst shrouded by a smoke. AdreN demonstrates flawless aiming capabilities in the following round, knocking off the heads of three G2 Esports members on a pistol buy. Round 19 finally saw a full buy from G2, however it didn't prove to be fruitful, as Gambit dismantle the offense in efficient nature, losing only two members. Following consecutive round victories, Gambit were able to equalise with the Frenchmen at 11:11. Further action was taken by the CIS mix, shutting down G2 in consistent fashion, leading to a 14:11 surplus for the team. After a long string of failed attempts, G2 are able to snag around after a successful plant on A site was secured. Despite valiant efforts, G2 fall to Gambit as the CIS mix managed to dispatch all members of the opposing team in round 28, closing map two with a 12:16 score.

de_Cobblestone - 16:14 (8:7, 8:7)

G2 secure their second pistol round of the series after strong performances from the entire roster. Two kills from Team Captain shox allow the team a foot into the last map. Gambit once again go for a force buy, and it worked out better than anticipated. AdreN was able to dispatch a sneaking NBK on B long, snatching his Famas and using it against the Frenchman's teammates. The Kazakh's teammates flood B site, systematically dispatching members of G2 to produce a 2:1 score. The first buy from G2 was seen in round 5 and sure enough the team was able to land a win, outplaying Gambit on the B bomb site. All fired up the Frenchmen continue in dominant fashion, scoring three consecutive rounds to gain a lead at 4:3. Gambit's Kazakh duo of mou and AdreN found themselves in a 2v2 situation against shox and bodyy in post-plant situation, where the CIS representatives managed to setup an effective crossfire and trade out efficiently to produce an equaliser at 4:4. Gambit continue to dominate on the offense, running away with multiple consecutive rounds. Said performance led to an astonishing 8:4 surplus for Gambit prior to dropping a round to a fantastic 3k from G2's apEX. The final two rounds were amassed by the Frenchmen, placing the teams a single round apart at 8:7 in Gambit's favour.

The final pistol round is taken by G2 on the aggression, as the team plants the bomb and removes the life from remaining Gambit members. Two additional rounds were accrued by the terrorists, extending G2's lead to a 10:8 lead over the opponent. The Frenchmen didn't stop here with their successful stint, furthering the surplus to 12:8 prior to Gambit grabbing their ninth round on the map. A strong B hold was seen in the 22nd from AdreN and HObbitt, where both members of Gambit secured a double kill each to decrease the team's deficit to two rounds. A beautiful lurk from apEX is seen, where the Frenchman is able to crawl his way into the backline of Gambit on bomb site B, ending three members and subsequently securing his team the round, placing the team three rounds away from a W on Cobblestone. A flurry between the two teams is seen on the B bomb site, leaving bodyy and Dosia in a 1v1 situation. Luckily for Gambit the X God was able to out-aim the Frenchman, taking off his head, and bringing a round for his team. In the follow up round G2 reset Gambit's economy at 14:11, placing the CIS mix in quite the predicament. Despite the equipment disadvantage the team is able to use the UMP45 to its full potential at close quarters on B plateau, exterminating the majority of the French roster, as well as disallowing G2 a larger surplus. Astonishing sights are seen in round 28, as KennyS very nearly clutches out a 1v2 situation, however the AWP no-scope inaccuracy proved to be the demise of the French AWPer, as he falls to an M4A4. As a result of the previous loss the monetary situation was dire for G2, subsequently leading to a loss and map point for Gambit Esports at 15:14. Gambit Esports close out in a nail-biting final round, where NBK found himself in a 1v3 situation. Able to dispatch one member of Gambit, he fell to a double peek from the remaining two, conceding the series to the CIS representatives.
