G2 and Cloud9 had an epic rematch following yesterday's major upset, while three other teams saw play to see who will make it to the semifinals.

Elimination Match Group A - Brazil Luminosity Gaming vs Denmark Heroic

de_Mirage - 10:16 (5:10; 5:6)

Luminosity took an early lead, but Heroic was able to bounce back and take control of the map by the sixth round. Going into halftime, it was the Valde Show, securing a triple kill to have doubled the score LG had, 5:10. The second half showed that LG still had some life in them, with the team getting as close as one round behind Heroic, but it was more of MODDII's double kill at the start of the 25th round that allowed Heroic the opening they needed to get to map point, only to close it out the round after.

de_Nuke - 5:16 (2:13; 3:3)

Heroic refused to give Luminosity an opening at the start of Nuke, Niko and Valde both had triple kills early - in the third and fourth rounds - and by the time Heroic held LG for a sixth round in a row, LG called a Tactical Pause. LG looked like they could take their first round in the seventh, but a triple kill from Snappi and a - dare we say it - heroic ninja diffuse by JuGi allowed his team to continue their domination on de_Nuke, 0:9. A quick rush on A allowed Luminosity their first point - in the thirteenth round - and were even able to pick up the first four rounds of the second half, Heroic was able to get to map point in the 20th round, then take the map - and the match - one round later.

Elimination Match Group B - United States Team Liquid vs France G2 Esports

de_Cobblestone - 13:16 (8:7; 5:9)

G2 needed to bounce back from an upset at the hands of Cloud9 to keep their DreamHack Austin hopes alive. They started off strong with a triple kill from bodyy. apEX completely halted the Liquid push the next round, getting a quick quad-kill to keep the momentum in G2's favour moving into the fourth round. Liquid would bounce back with three round wins of their own, though G2 was quick to retaliate thanks to apEX's double and triple kills in the 9th and 10th rounds. The match went back and forth in terms of who was ahead, but it was a triple kill from nitr0 that allowed Liquid to fight back to a one-round deficit and forced G2 to call a Tactical Pause. The Tactical Pause worked, allowing G2 a narrow victory on Cobblestone, 13:16.

de_Train - 16:5 (11:4; 5:1)

Liquid took the first pistol round and then all but one of the next six rounds, giving them a strong 6:1 lead to kick off Train. Though G2 was able to claim four rounds in the first half, it was EliGe's consistent kills round to round that allowed the home team a big lead going into the second half, 11:4. Though G2 was able to take another round, a jdm64-led Liquid was able to shut G2 out of the map in the next round and win the map in a dominating fashion, 16:5.

de_Nuke - 9:16 (4:11; 5:5)

Liquid's EliGe was shut out of a quad-kill thanks to G2's bodyy, barely giving the pistol round to the latter. G2 had a 0:3 lead when there was a major Technical Pause for over 20 minutes. Liquid was able to pick up a round win two rounds later, but it was extremely costly for the American team thanks to a clutch 1v3 by shox. The next few rounds went back and forth between the two teams, but G2 was eventually able to pull away from Liquid, ending the half 4:11. Despite Liquid's best efforts - including a quad kill from twistszz that he couldn't convert to a round win due to the bomb detonating - they weren't able to overcome G2's push and the American team falls, 9:16.

Group A Decider Match Europe HellRaisers vs Denmark Heroic

de_Nuke - 2:16 (2:13; 0:3)

Heroic's Snappi lead the charge against HellRaisers, grabbing the most kills of the map and securing multiple triple and double kills to lock HR out of the map for most of the rounds. Despite some clutch plays by ANGE1 and STYKO - including two double kills from the former in the two rounds that the team won - it wasn't enough to take down Heroic, who ended the first half 2:13. Once Heroic won the second pistol round, the team had all the momentum they needed to bring Nuke home in their favour, wrapping up the map in a 2:16 score.

de_Inferno - 11:16 (4:11; 7:5)

Once again, Heroic started off in commanding fashion, securing five rounds under their belt before HellRaisers even saw a glimpse of taking one. HR had a chance to get one on the board in the sixth round, but a 1v2 clutch from niko allowed the team the push they needed to clean up HR and deny them the point. HR showed some signs of life, eventually adjusting to what Heroic was up to: they picked up four rounds in the first half with ANGE1's ace in the twelfth round. Heroic, however, was able to counter the new adjustments going into the second half, and despite a very strong second half from HR, Heroic was able to close it out and eliminate HellRaisers from the tournament.

Group B Decider MatchUnited States Cloud9 vs France G2 Esports

de_Cbble - 12:16 (10:5; 2:11)

After C9 took an early lead, the rounds go back and forth between them and their French counterparts, but the Americans managed a solid lead as they went into the second half. Shox's triple kill in the twenty-first round put G2 within three of tying, giving them the opening to win the next round and forced a C9 timeout with the score 12:10. Whatever was said didn't seem to work, as G2 quickly caught up and surpassed the American squad in the next three rounds, thanks in part to NBK, apEX and bodyy getting triple kills in subsequent rounds. It was a final double kill from bodyy that wrapped up the map for G2, coming back from behind to take Cobblestone by four.

de_Inferno - 16:12 (5:10; 11:2)

Stewie2k had a triple kill and autimatic had a double in the pistol round, allowing Cloud9 some wiggle room economy-wise to try and start something. Despite some very well-placed grenades from bodyy and apEX, it was a final grenade kill from n0thing that allowed Cloud9 the early lead. C9 held the first three rounds before G2 had a chance to respond, taking their first round and converting it into a eight-round win streak to take the lead. Stewie2k was able to respond to Shox's fantastic AWP play in the 13th round to grab a triple kill off the hands of G2, but G2 consistently was able to take back any momentum the Americans had within a round, finishing off the half with double the score than C9, 5:10. C9 eventually was able to tie up the map with 11 apiece and then overtake the French team into a 13:11 lead, forcing a Tactical Pause from G2. n0thing and Stewie2k combine for a triple and double kill respectively in the 28th round, forcing a third map.

de_Cache 10:16 (6:9; 4:7)

The final showdown for these two teams ended on a rematch of Cache, which C9 upset G2 on yesterday to secure their Winner's Bracket showdown. Despite a clutch, 19-HP double kill from apEX, it was Stewie2k and autimatic that led C9, as the Americans captured the next four rounds before G2 was finally able to capture their second point of the map. NBK was the major reason why G2 were able to break into the map again, thanks to his triple and quad-kills in back-to-back rounds. apEX brought his team back to tie the map thanks to a clutch triple kill, which they used to keep the lead going into the second half. Though a valiant effort, Cloud9 just couldn't repeat their win from yesterday, resulting in a heart-breaking 10:16 loss for the last American team.
