Friday, April 14th

United States Team Liquid vs. United States OpTic Gaming - 2:0

de_Cobblestone - 16:8 (10:5, 6:3)

Liquid started on the CT side of the map, where they fell during the pistol round in addition to the following. After a slow start the team went on to bang out seven rounds in a row, producing a 7:2 lead. The final six rounds of the map saw an even distribution with each team grabbing five each, culminating in a 10:5 surplus for Liquid. As for the latter half, a repeat of the pistol situation was seen once again, except Liquid were on the T side this time round. OpTic Gaming managed to scrape together three rounds prior to getting pummelled with a five round domination that caused the finalisation of the match at 16:8 in favour of Liquid.

de_Cobblestone - 16:11 (10:5, 6:6)

The teams face off on Cobblestone once again, on this occasion OpTic managed three more rounds than last time, however still fell flat. Liquid kicked off on the T side, where the team shifted into gear by grabbing the pistol round. On this occasion the momentum continued, allowing the team to accrue a 4:0 lead, prior to an answer from the "Green Wall". Four consecutive rounds drop in favour of the losing team, however this was all the side was able to produce barring the final, 15th round. Liquid recreate the same score from the previous map at 10:5. Once again Liquid were able to snag the pistol round, followed by a string of three rounds to get the team going. Over the course of the remaining eight rounds, OpTic were able to press the attack on six occasions, with Liquid securing two over the same period of time. Fortunately for the team that's all they needed to secure a flawless series, and a 16:11 finish.

Brazil SK Gaming vs. United States Bee's Money Crew - 2:0

de_Cobblestone - 19:17 (5:10, 10:5, 4:2)

Bee's Money Crew bring the fight to SK Gaming with the Brazilians just nearly running away with a W. A poor start from SK Gaming on the CT side of the map, as the team conceded the pistol round, followed by an additional two. The team rebounds on the first gun round and the follow up to close the deficit at 2:3. BMC snap the economy in round six, as they are able to beat SK, however the Brazilians come back strong in the following three to secure a total of five rounds, that later proved to be all they would count. In an astonishing display of CS, Bee's Money Crew were able to knock out six rounds in a row to produce a 10:5 lead over one of the finest teams from the North American region. Whilst the performance of BMC was admirable, this was SK Gaming we were talking about. The Brazilians don't wait to long to start slamming the round, starting off with the pistol. Seven consecutive rounds are seen taken by SK, until finally BMC are able to retaliate. A further two are accrued, after which the unexpected happened - BMC started a resurgence. The team was able to come back from an 11:14 deficit, grabbing four rounds in a row to produce a 15:14 score on the board. With just a round away from victory, BMC are unable to close it out, instead pushing the map into overtime. Despite how close the main part of the match was, the overtime only saw a single iteration, as SK Gaming were able to close out at 19:17.

de_Inferno - 16:5 (13:2, 3:3)

The second map of the series saw dominance from SK, keeping the match brief. It all started with the Brazilians on the T side, able to pick up the first pistol. Keeping the pace up the team was able to snag a rather incredible 10:0 lead before any noise was heard from BMC's side. The team managed to put together a total of two rounds to their name, namely round 11 and 15, whilst the rest were taken by SK Gaming at 13:2. The latter half saw another pistol fall in favour of the Brazilians, closely followed by another. Round three of the latter half was when BMC seemed to have waken up, however the team was facing a 2:15 deficit against none other than SK Gaming. Three rounds dropped in favour of the underdogs, followed by a cull from SK Gaming at a fast 16:5.

Saturday, April 15th

United States Counter Logic Gaming vs. United States OpTic Gaming - 1:1

de_Cache - 16:13 (7:8, 9:5)

CLG kicked off on the T side of Cache, where they are concede the initial three rounds to the Green Wall. The entire half saw perpetual back and forth motion between the teams, that ultimately concluded in a rather close 8:7 lead for OpTic. The latter half saw resurgence from CLG, as the team closed out the pistol plus four rounds, to excel their score to 12:8. The offense managed to score a few rounds here and there but, in large thanks to the fact that CLG were able to develop such a strong lead early on, the team went on to secure the final four rounds they needed to secure a win at 16:13.

de_Train - 11:16 (7:8, 4:8)

United States Cloud9 vs. Brazil Immortals - 1:1

de_Cache - 6:16 (4:11, 2:5)

Immortals show Cloud9 how Cache is done by demolishing the team with a commanding score. The initial half saw the Brazilians on the T side demonstrating an impressive performance. All rounds up until the first CT gun round were accrued by Immortals, with Cloud9 grabbing a digit at 1:3. This would be one of few as the remainder of the half showed. IMT went on to dominate on the offense, slamming eight additional rounds on the table before concluding it at an 11:4 lead. In the following half Cloud9 manage to snatch the pistol round, however no follow up was seen from the Americans, as they're dismantled in the following four rounds by the defence. To finalise the teams exchange a round each, leading to a 16:6 finish for Immortals.

de_Cobblestone - 16:13 (7:8, 9:5)

A closer second map was seen, with Cloud9 able to edge out their opponents on theirsecond try. Starting on the T side the Americans are able to get off to a fast 3:0 lead. The first Brazilian gun round saw a loss, however perseverance from Cloud9 meant a further three rounds in their ballpark. The sides exchange a round each, followed by a strong consecutive string of six rounds from the defence, concluding the half at 8:7 in favour of Immortals. The second pistol fell in favour of Immortals, however the Ts were unable to produce anything in the following round, conceding the momentum to Cloud9. The following six rounds saw three go either side, leading to a 12:10 lead for Immortals. This proved to be a pivotal point for the Americans as their performance explodes, and the team starts pummelling the opposition. Five rounds are accrued, followed by a single round exchange, ultimately culminating in a W for Cloud9 with a close 16:13 score.

Sunday, April 16th

Brazil SK Gaming vs. United States OpTic Gaming - 1:1

de_Cache - 15:19 (8:7, 7:8, 0:4)

OpTic Gaming smite the kings of the grind, knocking the Brazilians out in overtime. SK Gaming kicked off on the T side of the map, able to secure the pistol and two more. OpTic fight back with a W on the gun round, followed by a string of four rounds to produce the team a 5:3 lead. SK mirror the performance of their opponent, snapping back with five rounds of their own to land at 8:5. The final two rounds dropped into OpTic's basket to conclude the intial half at 8:7 in favour of SK. The Brazilians secure the second pistol round, coupled with a two round follow up - 10:7. On the fourth round of the latter half OpTic manage to break through, able to secure a round, however this was met by SK's two, ultimately extending the lead at 13:8. In a last-ditch effort at a comeback the North American mix manages to accrue seven rounds to SK's two, producing a 15:15 stalemate and consequently overtime. The overtime was as lop-sided as it gets, with OpTic smashing out four rounds, taking away Cache on a 19:15 note.

de_Overpass - 16:4 (11:4, 5:0)

The second map featured Overpass, one where SK managed to secure a dominant victory. The Brazilians set off on the T side, securing their third consecutive pistol round. The defence of OpTic Gaming was unable to pose any threat up until their first gun round. The team successfully dispatched SK Gaming to secure their first round at 1:3. Following this exchange, SK Gaming kept applying pressure consistently, placing OpTic in a predicament. Five rounds were accrued by the Brazilians to extend their lead to a strong 8:1. In the remaining six rounds the teams went evens on rounds, securing three each at 11:4 in favour of SK. The fourth pistol once again fell into the hands of the Brazilians, however on this occasion they were determined on winning. Four consecutive round victories from SK Gaming's CT side made for a brilliant overall performance and a commanding 16:4 score.

Australia Renegades vs. Brazil Luminosity Gaming - 2:0

de_Cobblestone -  16:4 (11:4, 5:0)

A strong start from the Aussies seen a pistol round, coupled with two additional rounds. The Brazilians retaliate with a round of their own on their first buy round to land the first round of the half. The remainder of the half saw a repeating pattern, whereby Renegades would secure three to two rounds, after which their opponents would strike back. Aforementioned performance lead to an 11:4 initial half finish in favour of Renegades. The latter half was utterly lop-sided and saw the Australians close out the initial map by slamming five rounds in a row to produce a 16:4 dominant culmination.

de_Cobblestone - 16:12 (9:6, 7:6)

Luminosity take another poke at Cobblestone against the Aussies. Whilst progress was seen, it still ended up as a loss for the Brazilian roster. Renegades once again kicked off on the T side, able to pick up the pistol. Round two went in favour of the Brazilians, however resurgence from the Australians meant the team would develop momentum of their own. Aforementioned momentum pulled Renegades up to a 7:2 surplus, following which the Brazilians remembers the developments of the previous map and started waking up. Luminosity were able to scratch four rounds together before the conclusion of the half, ending at a 6:9. On this occasion the second half was not quite as lop-sided with Luminosity showing some bite. Despite losing the pistol round once again to the Australians, followed by an additional to extend the deficit to a worrying 6:12, the Brazilians did not lose hope, attempt to get their heads back into the game. Luminosity went on to grind out six more rounds before collapsing to the Australians at 16:12.
