France G2 Esports vs. Sweden GODSENT - 2:0 (16:14, 16:4)

de_Inferno - 16:14 (12:3, 4:11)

A close match-up between the two teams let to the map outcome coming down to the very last round. The two sides were lop sided, with teach team heavily dominating on the defensive CT side. The Frenchmen managed to accrue a whopping 12:3 initial half despite losing the crucial pistol round. After switching to the T side, G2 conceded the pistol, following a string of consecutive round losses. Ultimately the team was able to scratch together four rounds in the latter half, the final two of which were secured at a 14:14 stalemate.

de_Overpass - 16:4 (11:4, 5:0)

Contrary to the prior map, Overpass was taken with ease. The Frenchmen once again kicked off on the defence, smashing the defence every chance they were given. A grand total of four rounds is all GODSENT were able to extract in the initial half, leaving G2 Esports with a soft eleven round cushion. The latter half was simply put uneventful as G2 Esports continued their dominance over the Swedes, knocking the lights out after grabbing five consecutive rounds to shoot the lights out at a brief 16:4.

Denmark Astralis vs. Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas - 1:1

de_Train - 14:16 (8:7, 6:9)

The Swedes of Ninjas in Pyjamas closed out Train in close fashion, all the while besting the current #1 CS:GO team in the world. The Ninjas kicked off on the CT side of the map, where they didn't show a particularly convincing performance. The pistol was won, followed by two more WS, however after this early success, Astralis thrived and accrued a serious lead. Closer to the end of the first half the Ninjas refocused and snagged another four rounds, landing at a single round deficit with 7:8. The deficit proved to be of little meaning, due to the Swedes' performance on the offense. Once again they were able to grab the pistol, this time following up with six consecutive rounds victories. Resurgence was seen from the Danes, however when faced with a 15:14 score, the Swedes didn't choke out, closing it every so close at 16:14 in their favour.

de_Cache - 16:14 (10:5, 6:9)

Astralis weren't about to let things slide at a 0:2, securing a close victory of their own. Next up was Cache, where the Danes started out on the defence. The pistol round was secured, followed by another. NiP win round three with a bomb plant, however further developments weren't seen from the Swedes, as the Danes rip through a string of eight rounds, extending their lead to a 10:1 score. NiP managed to outperform in the last four rounds of the intial half, softening the deficit to five rounds at 5:10. The second pistol fell in favour of Astralis, this time on the offense. Once again NiP were able to deal a blow to the Danish economy in round two, as well as going on to snatch the following three rounds. In what seemed to be a worrisome situation, Astralis found themselves conceding round after round, leading to a 14:12 lead for the Ninjas in Pyjamas. The leading prowess of gla1ve proved to be crucial in the final four rounds of the map, as the team miraculously surpassed the Swedes, despite being ever so close to an overtime, smashing four consecutive rounds to produce a close-call 16:14 victory.

Denmark Astralis vs. Poland Virtus.pro - 1:1

de_Inferno - 16:9 (11:4, 5:5)

The Danes kicked off on the CT side of Inferno, where they were overwhelmed by the plow in the first round of the map. Despite this early failure, Astralis shifted back into gear immediately after, snatching three rounds to produce a 3:1 lead. This type of exchange was the story behind the initial half, as the Danes were able to secure string of 3-4 consecutive rounds before the plow grabbed one for themselves. The first fifteen rounds were distributed 11:4 in favour of Astralis. On the defence Virtus.pro were able to get off to a strong start after securing the pistol round and three on top. This tightened the deficit to 8:11, a score where you wouldn't put it past the Poles to come back from. Unfortunately for Virtus.pro no such comeback was seen, as Astralis accrue five rounds to one after the stunning start from VP to close the series at a comfortable 16:9.

de_Train - 8:16 (7:8, 1:8)

Virtus.pro make sure to secure one of their favourite maps against the Danes. After kicking off on the CT side of the map, VP were looking shaky to say the least. Astralis were able to not only grab the initial pistol round, but also followed through in the next seven rounds, conceding but one to the defence. Virtus.pro finally composed themselves and started amassing rounds. Breaking the Danish momentum meant that Astralis would only be able to grab a single additional round in the first half, the remainder of which went in favour of Virtus.pro at a close 8:7. In the latter half pure dominance was asserted by the bears. A spectacular seven consecutive rounds went in favour of the Poles, and only then were Astralis able to secure the first round of the latter half. Set on victory, VP proceed to secure the final round needed to tip the score over the fifteen round mark at 16:8.

Sweden Fnatic vs. France Team EnVyUs - 1:1

de_Inferno - 16:3 (13:2, 3:1)

Inferno proved to be an absolute nightmare for the Frenchmen. Having started on the CT side, Team EnVyUs just kept giving up rounds in favour of Fnatic, able to stand up for themselves in only rounds 14 and 15. Said performance lead to an incredibly dominant showing from the Swedes at 13:2. In the latter half thing were looking ever so slightly up for the Frenchmen as they were able to snag the pistol, however in the follow up Fnatic once again demolished the opposition three rounds in a row to close out the first map with a flabergasting 16:3.

de_Train - 14:16 (5:10, 9:6)

Train was much more like it from the French, as they were able to edge out the Swedes in extremely close fashion. Having started on the T side, EnVyUs only saw rounds after the first two dropped in favour of Fnatic. Once being able to afford a full buy, the French amassed a single round lead at 3:2. After this  the team once again dropped the ball, allowing their opponents to round up the majority of the rounds in the initial half, closing at a 6:9 deficit for EnVyUs. All was made up for in the latter half, however, as the Frenchies secure the pistol round. The following three rounds fell in favour of Fnatic, despite this fact EnVyUs stood tall and proceeded in winning fashion, smashing seven consecutive rounds, leaving the Swedes with little room to breath. After conceding such an extensive amount of rounds to the Frenchmen, Fnatic grab two to equalise at 14:14. Ensuring the W, EnVyUs snagged the final two rounds of the map to produce an ever so close 16:14 victory.

Sunday, April 16th

Europe mousesports vs. Europe Team Dignitas - 2:0

de_Mirage - 16:5 (11:4, 5:1)

Mousesports are able to stomp their fellow European opponents into the ground, securing a dominant score on Mirage. Whilst the start was less than formidable for mouz, as they conceded the three intial rounds, the team realigned and focused on a victory, which was demonstrably seen in the latter portion of the initial half. Two clusters of five and six rounds respectively were separated by a mere single victory from Dignitas, producing a commanding 11:4 lead in favour of mousesports. The second half saw the leading team snatch the pistol round, as well further developing the lead with two additional consecutive rounds  at 14:4. The offense was able to produce but a single round before mousesports went for the throat, closing the map with a 16:5 score.

de_Overpass - 16:5 (13:2, 3:3)

Some more of the previous coming out of mousesports, once again producing none less than a stomp. On this occasion the mix was to start on the T side of affairs, exhibiting a highly dominant performance against the defence. The pistol was secured, followed by a whopping five rounds in follow up, to extend the initial lead to a flawless 6:0. At this point Dignitas were able to land a couple of rounds in their court, however that was all she wrote, as mousesports further their lead all the way to the half time mark at an astonishing 13:2. On the defence mousesports were unable to fend off Dignitas' T side pistols, as they conceded the first three rounds of the half. Sure enough on the first gun round the team is able to not only overpower their opponents, but also go on to develop momentum all the way to the finish line that saw another 16:5 score in favour of mouz.

France G2 Esports vs. Denmark Astralis - 1:1

de_Nuke - 16:6 (12:3, 4:3)

The Frenchmen of G2 drop a nuke (get it?) on Astralis after a what proved to be a dominant performance. The subsequent victors kicked off on the CT side where they were able to accrue the pistol round and all the follow ups until Astralis' first full buy. The Ts managed to grab round 4, however an eight round winning streak following after from G2 meant an 11:1 lead for the Frenchmen. In a last ditch-effort, the Danes were able to scratch two rounds in their favour, whilst G2 grabbed one, to close the initial half out at 12:3. Astralis entered the second half with a victory on the pistol round, showing promise of more to come. Unfortunately not a lot more was seen from the Danes, as they fell in the second round, as well as the follow two, allowing G2 to close in on the fatal 15:4. The last three rounds were split two to one in favour of the Danes, however the previous deficit had crippled the team's chances at coming back, conceding the map to G2 Esports at an embarrassing 6:16.

de_Train - 12:16 (5:10, 7:6)

Resurgence from the Danes is seen on the second map, with a much closer score in comparison. Despite kicking off to a slow start, where Astralis conceded five of the six intial rounds to G2 Esports, pistol round included, the team was able to get their head back into the game and start winning rounds. The remaining nine rounds all went in favour of the Danes to produce a a solid 10:5 lead going into the latter half. The performance transpired the initial kick, allowing Astralis a further three initial rounds. On their first gun round, G2 manage to outperform the major title holders, further slamming six rounds to tighten the deficit to a single round at 12:13. Despite all efforts the Frenchmen fell to Astralis after the Danes were able to secure the three final rounds needed to close out at 16:12.
