NRG eSports have decided to bench Edgar "MarkE" Jimenez, replacing him with ex-Rush talent, Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne.
After an extensive stint of negative results the team has opted to rearrange the roster, benching Edgar "MarkE" Jimenez and signing ex-Team Rush member, Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne. In 2017 alone the team had seen many a disappointing result, whereby NRG eSports fell short in online regional qualifiers for DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas 2017, Intel Extreme Masters XI - Katowice, DreamHack Austin 2017 and DreamHack Tours 2017. LAN performances saw lacklustre results also, with a 5th-8th place finish at the iBUYPOWER Spring Invitational 2017 followed by a similar result at Copenhagen Games 2017. The most recent result in Denmark was "the last straw" according to a statement given to HLTV.org from Team Captain, Damian "daps" Steele.
In light of said issues NRG eSports have announced the benching of Edgar "MarkE" Jimenez who has been with the roster since December 2016. According to Steele's conversation with HLTV the main issue of the player was inexperience and heavy reliance on Team Coach, Andrew "Professor_Chaos" Heintz communicating for him both in online and offline settings. Replacing Jimenez is Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne, hailing from Team Rush. He will stay with the team over the course of a trial period, extending to the conclusion of ECS Season 3 and ESL Pro League Season 5 league play.
NRG eSports now hosts the following CS:GO roster:
