Seven teams receive invites for Copenhagen Games 2017

The organizers have revealed the invited teams for the 2017 iteration of Copenhagen Games.

Copenhagen Games will bring together 16 teams on April 13-15 in Copenhagen. Seven teams received their invites for the $54,000 event while one spot is reserved for the winner of the Team Plantronics Challenge, an online tournaments series by ESL Nordic. The remaining eight participants of Copenhagen Games will be determined via a qualifier which is set to take place in the same arena as the main event.

Scandinavian teams dominate the invited teams list with the likes of Tricked, Epsilon, fnatic Academy and dreamchasers confirmed for the tournament. Kevin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans' LDLC, BIG and the North Americans of NRG complete the invited teams. Out of the seven invited sides, dreamchasers are the only team that will compete at Copenhagen Games with a mix-roster, with their line-up featuring Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi, Joel "emilio" Mako and three GODSENT players; Markus "pronax" Wallsten, Simon "twist" Eliasson, Andreas "znajder" Lindberg.
