Copenhagen Games 2017 - Prize pool revealed

The organisers have announced that Copenhagen Games 2017 will offer a €50,000 prize pool, a €30,000 increase in comparison to last year.

As the kick-off date for Copenhagen Games 2017 approaches, details for the event are being revealed. On this occasion the organisers have announced that the Danish event will offer €50,000 (~$54,000) in prize pool money. This means an increase of €30,000 in comparison to last year's iteration. On April 13th - April 15th, sixteen teams will fight for their share of $54,000 prize pool. Eight of the attending teams will receive direct invites, whislt  the remaining eight spots will be up for grabs via qualifiers which will as per tradition take place on-site.

Teams from all corners of the world will visit Copenhagen, Denmark to compete for the lion's share of the increased prize pool. The likes of Germany ALTERNATE aTTaX, Germany BIG, Poland PRIDE, Denmark Tricked, France Vexed Gaming and Turkey Space Academy are already confirmed to participate at Copenhagen Games 2017, however there is no information available regarding whether these teams are invited for the main event or have to qualify through open qualifiers.

Besides the prize pool announcement, the organisers recently announced the talent line-up for the event. Nine individuals, including RoomOnFire caster Vince "metuz" Hill and Finnish commentator Joona "natu" Leppänen will be present to provide a better viewing experience. All matches will be streamed on the CopenhagenGamesCS Twitch.tv channel.
