In an announcement to HLTV.org, ECS have state that the prize pool for Season 3 remains unchanged from last season, sporting a whopping $750,000 in prize money.
The tournament organisers have confirmed that the prize pool remains unchanged at $1,500,000 for the entirety of the season, 50% of which is the aforementioned prize money and the remaining 50% of funds is put towards "ensuring player and team stability".
Recently, the ECS Developmental League had concluded, deciding twenty teams from two regions to compete for a placement at the LAN finals of the tournament, the location of which is yet to be announced by the organisers. Four top teams from each region will emerge from the online stage, taking place from April 24th - June 8th, to participate at the LAN finals, where the ludicrous $750,000 prize pool will be distributed depending on their respective performances.
Below you will find the distribution of the aforementioned prize:
1st place - $250,000
2nd place - $120,000
3rd & 4th places - $65,000
5th & 6th places - $45,000
7th & 8th places - $35,000
