Details have been announced pertaining to the upcoming Chinese/Mongolian qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017.
ESL have released additional details regarding the Chinese/Mongolian qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017. Sixteen teams for the two regions will battle it out in four groups of four to determine the team to surpass all, securing it's placement at the LAN finals in Sydney. The format for the qualifier's group stage will see best-of-one, single-elimination matches, barring the group decider matches that will all be best-of-three. Following the conclusion of the group stage, eight teams will enter the playoffs, where best-of-three, single-elimination matches will take place, up until the best team secures their sole spot at the LAN finals.

Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017 is a $260,000 AUD (~$200,000) prize pool tournament set to be held at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on May 3rd-7th. Eight teams, of which six received direct invites and two will make their way via an Oceanic and Chinese/Mongolian open qualifier will battle it out for the lion's share of the significant prize pool.
