DreamHack have announced information regarding the open qualifiers for the upcoming DreamHack ASTRO Open: Tours 2017.
DreamHack have released information regarding the open qualifier for the DreamHack ASTRO Open: Tours 2017 tournament. The tournament returns to Tours, France once more, offering $100,000 in prize money. Teams from across the world will visit France in hopes of securing the lion's share of the sizeable prize pool. A total of eight participants will be seen at the LAN finals of th event, six of which will receive direct invites, whilst two will qualify via the closed qualifiers for the European and North American regions respectively. Teams invited to the LAN finals and closed qualifiers have not been revealed yet, however the announcement should be coming out soon, so make sure to stay tuned.
Below you will find information regarding the open qualifiers for the event (all times expressed in CET):
European qualifier
Saturday, April 1st
15:00 - Open qualifier - A maximum of 128 slots, top four teams qualify for closed qualifier.
Sunday, April 2nd
15:00 - Closed qualifier - Eight teams, four directly invited, four from open qualifier. Top team qualifies for DreamHack Tours 2017.
North American qualifier
Saturday, April 1st
21:00 - Open qualifier - A maximum of 128 slots, top four teams qualify for closed qualifier.
Sunday, April 2nd
21:00 - Closed qualifier - Eight teams, four directly invited, four from open qualifier. Top team qualifies for DreamHack Tours 2017.
The team that qualifies for the LAN finals of the event will receive travel and accommodation for the event for five players and a coach or manager.
Teams interested in participating at the tournament should log in to the ESEA website and open a support ticket. In said ticket please mention either "Tours EU" or "Tours NA" as the subject and select "Events" as the ticket type. Make sure to fill in the following information in the ticket:
