North final team to receive direct invite to IEM Sydney

North are the sixth, and final team to receive a direct invite to the $260,000 AUD event held in Sydney, Australia.

The Danish side of North are the final team to receive a direct invite to Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017. So far a total of six teams, including the Danes, have been invited to participate at the event, with an aggregate of eight participants. Two teams will be decided via the remaining Chinese/Mongolian and Oceanic qualifiers for the event.

Intel Extreme Masters: Sydney 2017 is the next stop of the IEM series, taking place in Sydney, Australia. Eight teams will fly out to the sunny island to fight for the equivalent of $200,000 in prize money. The LAN finals of the tournament will be hosted at the Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday 6th - Sunday 7th of May. The group stage of the tournament is scheduled for Wednesday 3rd - Thursday 4th of May, with a single day break prior to the grand finals on Friday 5th. It will not be possible to spectate the group stage live, as it will be broadcast online out of a studio. 

Currently details regarding the format of the tournament have not been released, however we recommend you stay tuned to keep up to date on further developments.
