starix parts ways with Natus Vincere

In a post on Vk.com, Sergey "starix" Ischuk has confirmed his departure from the CIS-based organisation.

Rumours have been circulating about the departure of Sergey "starix" Ischuk from Natus Vincere's CS:GO roster, where he was a full-time coach for over two years. The long-time Na'Vi member recently posted a note (in Russian) on his Vk.com page, where he confirmed that indeed he would be departing from the organisation, citing various reasons for the decision.

Following is a translated quote from starix's post:

"Possibly I have given the team all I could offer, possibly Na'Vi sees the trainer in another image, what is also possible is that a new perspective could help the guys attain better results, and I need to make way for the younger generation."

Sergey has been part of Natus Vincere for an incredible period of seven years, five of which Ischuk had represented the core roster as a player and two of which were in the capacity of a coach. Recently, the core roster had been experiencing a period of stagnation, where results attained didn't meet the expectations of neither the team nor the coach, leading to the difficult decision of parting ways with the Counter-Strike veteran. Despite the fact that the team had gone through varying periods of ups and downs prior, on this occasion the decision was made to entirely remove starix from the roster, instead assigning Andrey "Andi" Prokhorov - the team's analyst, to the coaching role.

Regarding his future, starix expressed:

"About my plans: they're varied and expansive. I will start playing again, try to stream and will be in talks with various people from the industry. I am open to all opportunities that come my way. I will also entertain the possibility of remaining in the coaching role or building an organisation from the ground up."

Finally, starix expressed sentiment to his followers:

"A great big thank you to you guys for all of the support. I read every message and comment that you leave. I am extremely grateful for all of you. I guess the time has come to move on."
