CS:GO News Week in Review: February 28th

glace steps down from Rogue

Rogue decided this week to take Nicolai "glace" Jensen out of their starting lineup, leaving him on the side-lines as a substitute while Rogue searches for a interested party to buy him out of his contract.

After internal discussions, it was decided that this change would be the best for the continued development of the roster. Nicolai’s impact on the team was integral throughout his tenure starting back in the fall of 2016 and most notable in the team’s ESEA Mountain Dew League victory in Burbank, CA at the beginning of this year.

PENTA renews kRYSTAL contract

Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend has secured a contract renewal with PENTA Sports today, leaving the team with just three players in their CS:GO roster. The team has been struggling to rebuild itself following the departure of Tahsin "tahsiN" Broschk, Mike "mikeS" Tuns and Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran earlier this year.

Epsilon acquires kalle

The organisation has been down to just four players since early November of last year when it was revealed that one of the team's star players, Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun, had been transferred to fnatic, with Karl-William "kalle" Haraldsen standing in during the interim. Now Epsilon has announced that they have decided to give the Norwegian player a permanent spot with the team.

Vexed adds AlluM3tt3, Smyli

The team announced that they have decided to swap two players around in their CS:GO lineup this week, following months of lacklustre results from the team in international competition. For the move,  Ali "hAdji" Hainand François "AmaNEk" Delaunay will be both be saying goodbye to the organisation in order to make space for Vexed's choice of two new starters: former team coach Pierre "NpK" Henkinet and ex-LDLC Espoir rookie Pedro "AlluM3tt3" Morais.

JUGi in for Heroic

After nearly two weeks of feuding between the two organisations, Tricked eSports and Heroic.gg have both settled on a buyout fee for Tricked's star AWPer, Jakob "JUGi" Hansen, which allows him to officially join up with Heroic as per his contract. The Dane was the centre of the dispute between the two teams, having signed a contract with Heroic while still under his current one with Tricked, and Heroic being unwilling to pay the fee proposed initially by Tricked to have him released.
