ELEAGUE Major - Virtus.pro overpower North to secure spot at semi-final

Virtus.pro overwhelm North in two maps, securing their placement in the semi-finals of the ELEAGUE Major.

Poland Virtus.pro win on de_Overpass - 14:1, 2:3 (16:4)
Poland Virtus.pro start on the Terrorist side.

Virtus.pro kick off the series on the CT side, starting off with a successful pistol round, followed by further momentum. The Poles managed to run away with twelve consecutive rounds, with Filip "Neo" Kubski demonstrating a fantastic performance on the 6th round through clutching out a 1v1 situation against Emil "Magisk" Reif and subsequently defusing the bomb. Rounds were piling up in favour of the Poles, and only a hint of a possibility to secure a round was seen on the 14th, where Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel unfortunately ran out of time and was unable to secure a bomb plant. North managed to secure a single round over the course of the first half, concluding it at a commanding 14:1 skewed towards Virtus.pro.

The second half didn't see much, as Virtus.pro had secured a colossal lead prior to switching over. The pistol round once again went in their favour; however on this occasion the Danes had force bought in the following round to produce a victory over a fully equipped Virtus.pro. North went on to secure two further rounds, but that was it. Virtus.pro take away de_Cache with a 16:4 score board.

Denmark North win on de_Cache - 9:6, 7:6 (16:12)
Denmark North start on the Counter-Terrorist side.

North lead the charge on de_Cache securing the initial pistol round on the CT side. Following this success they developed their momentum further, securing four consecutive rounds prior to Virtus.pro's retaliation. The Poles managed to secure the fifth round in an anti-eco situation. A few rifles were secured and subsequently so was the round, placing Virtus.pro at a 1:4 score. North weren't able to reproduce quite the same momentum, conceding four consecutive rounds to the Poles. These round were devastating for the Danish economy, as the team had been perpetually half-buying and losing gun rounds, up until the maximum five round loss money kicked in. The 10th round saw a triple AWP kill in A main from René "cajunb" Borg, placing the score at an even 5:5. Back and forth motion was seen for the remainder of the half, culminating in a triple round lead for North at 9:6.

The second pistol round was also picked up by North after a highly successful A site take. Despite a valiant defuse effort from Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, he was shut down and prevented from smoke defusing the bomb. The momentum was carried through the following three rounds, where the Danes were comfortably pushing back aggressions from Virtus.pro. On the 19th round Jaroslaw "pashaBiceps" Jarzabkowski was single-handedly able to stop three members of North in checkers with an astonishing AWP performance, landing two kills and a wallbang on the B bomb site. Round 23 saw a beautiful 4k spraydown by Virtus.pro's MVP, Jaroslaw "pashaBiceps" Jarzabkowski, bringing his team back into the game at a 9:14 score line. Three consecutive rounds went in favour of the Poles, but ultimately the Danes found it in themselves to close the match at a very close 16:12.

Poland Virtus.pro win on de_Cobblestone - 3:12, 13:1 (16:13)
Poland Virtus.pro start on the Terrorist side.

Emil "Magisk" Reif fires up his team on the CT side of Cobblestone, where he secures an amazing ace with the USP-S, putting down each member of Virtus.pro single-handedly in the pistol round. Three additional rounds were picked up by the Danes, post which Virtus.pro managed to produce their first round of the map - 4:1 in favour of North. Rounds are further skewed towards the Danish representatives, securing a 7:1 lead before Virtus.pro are able to secure the second round of the haf. It is worth pointing out that indeed Emil "Magisk" Reif had accumulated a total of 27 kills over 14 rounds, whilst the entire roster of Virtus.pro was able to produce but 26 over the same period of time. His input was undeniably invaluable in producing a first half score of 12:3, a score eerily reminiscent of Virtus.pro's performance on de_Overpass.

Jaroslaw "pashaBiceps" Jarzabkowski builds a foundation for a comeback after securing a triple kill with the USP-S during the second pistol round of the map. Two additional rounds were picked up as part of the pistol round victory package, placing Vitus.pro at a rather optimistic 6:12 score. Experience and patience had shone through for the Poles as they were steadily able to amass rounds, closing the gap from 6:12 to an even 13:13 by round 27. The pressure had clearly settled in the minds of the Danish roster as the team was unable to close out the map, having secured but a single round to Virtus.pro's ten over the entirety of the second half.
