CS:GO News Week in Review: January 17th

TSM loses team

Last month it was revealed that Team SoloMid had dropped former Cloud9 player Sean "seangares" Gares from their lineup after bringing him on board just a week prior following the player's involvement in a protest letter against the Professional Esports Association. Now it seems the rest of team will be following suit with the weekend announcement that they have cut ties with the organization in order to keep playing with seangares as their in-game leader. 

EnVyUs wins WESG 2016

The French team has secured an important first place finish this week following their victory over Team Kinguin in the grand finals match of the World Electronic Sports Games 2016, taking the title with a decisive 2:0 stomp, giving up a total of only eleven rounds across both of the maps.

 

FNS makes a return to CLG

After less than two weeks of a vacancy, Counter Logic Gaming has filled the hole left by hazed with former TSM player, Pujan "FNS" Mehta. This will not be the first time that FNS has played under the CLG banner, as he was a part of the team in 2015, but left the team at the end of the year. After little more than a year of moving around, he will be returning to be a leader in the team.

Fnatic Academy bring in Jayzwalkingz

With Dreamhack ASTRO Open Leipzig already into its opening matches, Fnatic Academy announced they had sourced a replacement for their fifth, Aleksandar "jayzaR" Zarkovic, who announced this week his resignation from the team. The player the team is currently using is David "Jayzwalkingz" Kempner, who is in trials with the team.

CS: GO update brings ELEAGUE Major stickers

The most recent update brought highly anticipated ELEAGUE Major team and player stickers to the game this week; Beside the stickers, a new item, team graffitis, was made available for purchase. ELEAGUE Major will be the first major with the team graffitis.
