TyLoo secure spot at DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas 2017

After defeating fellow countrymen VG.Cyberzen, TyLoo secure a placement at the LAN Finals of DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas.

TyLoo have secured the sole LAN finals spot offered by the DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas 2017 Asia Closed Qualifier having defeated rivalling countrymen VG.Cyberzen. The best-of-three series was cut short by the team, attaining victory in two maps, one of which went to an overtime.

Following is a recap of the two maps between the Chinese teams:

The Grand final of the DHM: LV 2017 Asia closed qualifier saw two prominent Chinese teams clash, with the ultimate goal of securing a placement at the prestigious event held in the United States. Only a single team could secure first place and so TyLoo did, rather convincingly so.

The first map was de_Mirage, one that was clearly in favour of TyLoo. The team initiated on the CT side, where they got off to a spectacular start. The defence was impeccable, meaning VG.Cyberzen were simply out of ideas as to how to approach bombsites. Said performance made up for an 11:4 finish in favour of TyLoo. The teams swapped sides, shortly after which TyLoo brought the match to an end, securing five rounds to VG's two.

The second, and final map was de_Dust2. TyLoo start on the CT side once again, but this time the team didn't see quite the same result as their previous endeavour. On this occasion VG.Cyberzen were able to play an assertive T side, consistently securing bombsites and landing crucial entry frags. The team playing catch-up seemed to excel, securing a 9:6 lead over TyLoo in the first half. As for the second half we saw a direct reciprocate of the previous half's score, whereby TyLoo went on to secure 9:6 over VG.Cyberzen, pushing the series into overtime. Only one instance of extra time was required for the victors, as they supersede their opponents with a 4:2 overtime score, culminating in a 2-1 series and 19:17 map score in favour of TyLoo.

The Chinese team will now be facing other qualified and invited teams at the LAN Finals of DreamHack Masters: Las Vegas 2017 in February of next year.
