NiP wins IEM IX Oakland

The Swedish team clinched the $125,000 first place prize this week following a suprising victory over SK Gaming in the grand finals match of IEM IX Oakland, one of the most highly-anticipated North American tournaments of 2016. The series spanned three maps; check out a summary of each in our winner's news.

CS:GO update brings glove skins

This week's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update introduced a new category of skins to the game with the addition of twenty four new gloves for players to equip. The skins are currently only available from the new case that was introduced as well, the Glove Case, which also includes seventeen new weapon skins. Heroic wins International Gaming League

Following their 3-1 series victory over VG.CyberZen, Heroic secured a first place finish this week at the $200,000 LAN finals for the International Gaming League in Shanghai, China. The Danish line-up lost only the first map (7:16, Cobblestone) before coming back with three back-to-back wins on Overpass, Mirage and Dust2 with 19:17, 16:1 and 16:10 score lines respectively.

MAJ3R joins Space Soldiers

The Turkish organization has revealed that they will begin trialing a replacement for the recently-vacated fifth spot with this week's announcement their temporary signing of Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli, who will be given a chance for a permanent position on the team. We are delighted to announce that our new CS:GO trial player Engin 'MAJ3R' Küpeli has joined Space Soldiers. After previously supporting Space Soldiers as a stand-in, MAJ3R became a key part of the team that won the WESG Dubai cup. A member of the World Champion Turkish National Team, he will be an important player for us, and we wish him every success.

ECS NA finalists now known

The four North American teams have been confirmed for the second offline finals of FACEIT's flagship Electronic Championship Series, the Twitch-backed CS:GO tournament that is now in its second season. The teams will face off from December 9th to the 11th in front of thousands of North American fans, promising to make the event one of the largest CS events in Southern California.
