The groups for the WESG Asia-Pacific have been revealed splitting the 18 teams into four groups.
The final WESG qualifier will be taking place at the Korea International Exhibition Center, Goyang on November 10th-13th. Eighteen teams will fight against one another with the hopes of obtaining the six spots at the WESG Global Finals event, as well as a complimentary $73,000 that will go to the winner.
Heading into the cup are FIVE and VG.CyberZen who both placed second and third at the Chinese qualifier. On top of this, Australian teams Athletico and Team Immunity will be joining the event. Although the four stated above are fan favourites the fourteen others are all leading teams of regional or national cups and so still stand a strong chance for an upset.
Since there are 18 teams, the groups have been divided into two groups of 5 and two groups of 4. Winners of each group will progress to the quarter finals whilst the second and third placed teams will be forced into a further fight for survival.
