ESL Australia have announced the preliminary schedule and venue for the LAN finals of the ESL ANZ Championship.
ESL have announced further information pertaining to the ESL Australia and New Zealand Championship that will be taking place at the PAX Arena at PAX Australia 2016 in Melbourne, Australia this November 4th through 6th. The finals will be the culmination of seven weeks of league play, leaving only the top teams from said series. The teams will compete for the largest slice of the $20,000 AUD prize pool, the distribution of which you will find below:
1st place - $8,000 AUD (~$6,150)
2nd place - $4,000 AUD (~$3,070)
3rd-4th places - $2,000 AUD (~$1,540)
5th-6th places - $1,250 AUD (~$960)
7th-8th places - $750 AUD (~$580)
Format-wise the event will see an online round-robin week six and seven, taking place over four days. After said weeks conclude, four victorious teams will emerge, battling each other in best-of-three, single-elimination semi-finals, followed by the Grand final, adhereing to the same format.
