Team EnVyUs have secured their second consecutive Champions' title at the Gfinity CS:GO Invitational.
Last year's victors Team EnVyUs have secured their second Gfinity CS:GO Invitational title in a row after outperforming the German mousesports in a best-of-five series. The Frenchmen were able to keep it brief, with a total of three maps played out of five. The team has not only defended their title as Champions, but also secured a very sizeable $50,000 prize.

The best-of-five kicked off on de_Cache, the only map of the series to see overtime. EnVyUs start on the CT side of the map with a commanding presence. Round after round went in favour of the Frenchmen, to a point where it was looking rather dim for the Germans. Team EnVyUs push their lead to a stellar 11:4 at the end of the first half of de_Cache. After switching over to the CT side, the Germans seemed to have gotten a grasp on their game. The retaliation was strong, as mousesports were able to mirror their opponents' first half score, pushing the game to a 15:15 score-line, hence an overtime. In the extra rounds the Frenchmen were ultimately able to take away the first map, as they managed to land four rounds to mousesports' two, ending de_Cache at 19:17.
Next on the agenda was de_Cobblestone. The boys in blue kicked off on the T side this time round, where they were able to play a solid aggressive game against their German opponents. A decent lead was secured upon the conclusion of said half, as the Frenchmen were successful at taking bombsites and securing bomb plants. EnVyUs switch over to the CT side at a 10:5 lead. In the second half mousesports tried their outmost best to come back from the round deficit, however the efforts were insufficient to bring the match back, resulting in a 12:16 loss for the Germans.
The final map of the best-of-five was to be de_Dust2. Mousesports speed ahead of EnVyUs in the first half, where the Germans secure a strong CT side. The Frenchmen almost seemed helpless, as they were simply unable to proceed onto bombsites without being demolished by the defence. Mousesports take the first half at 11:4, a promising sign of a comeback. Despite a lacklustre start to the map Team EnVyUs were not set on prolonging the series to a fourth or fifth map, as the boys in blue start performing out of their minds on the CT side of Dust2. The Frenchmen cut the series short after simply eradicating their opponents' during the second half, securing a whopping 12:3 score line, culminating the map and best-of-five at 16:14.
