$1M PEA league announced

Several of the most prominent North American teams announced their joint formation of the Professional eSports Association this week, a new collaborative organization that aims to benefit professional players and teams in the NA eSports space. Alongside the establishment of the organization itself, the PEA has also revealed its inaugural eSports league, a $1,000,000 CS:GO league. The first 10-week season of the league will feature $500,000 in prize money, with matches being streamed bi-weekly.

Luminosity cuts bit and nak

Luminosity Gaming's roster has only been with the organization for just over a month, but already it has undergone major changes as LG announced this week that they have cut ties with Bruno "bit" Lima and Renato "nak" Nakano, two of the original members that were signed over from WinOut.

APM Season 3 set for November

$50,000 will be on the line this year for the third edition of TakeTV's popular Acer Predator Masters, the casual LAN that is held at TakeTV's lounge in Krefeld, Germany. This time around, APM S3 will take place this November from the 3rd to the 6th, with sixteen teams slated to compete. A schedule is yet to be announced, but is expected in the coming weeks.

KPI launches new team

The newly-formed KPI Gaming is aiming high with their initial debut in the Spanish esports space this week with the introduction of their first two titles, Hearthstone and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Their CS:GO division consists of a fully domestic line-up, featuring a number of players from some of the top teams in the country including k1ck and Infinity Gaming.

compLexity Gaming signs APE

The North American team decided to make changes within their CS:GO line-up with their announcement that they would be swapping out Shawn "witmer" Taylor for Cory "APE" Bate, formerly of Team Kaliber.

NiP win SL i-League Starseries Season 2

The Swedes were able to defeat G2 Esports in two consecutive maps at the Grand final of the StarLadder i-League Starseries Season 2, securing $150,000 in prize money.
