The teams kicked the series off on a reciprocating note, where the first half saw a fairly close score between the two American teams. Cloud9 started off on the aggressive, landing themselves a very decent half time finish. Liquid weren't able to get a lead on the CT side of things, bringing the score to 9:6 in favour of Cloud9.

Over the second half Liquid were lost, scoring but a mere round over the entirety of it. Cloud9 had a dominant showing, consistently outplaying their opponent on the defence, deservedly taking away de_Mirage at 16:7.

An identical score, however this time on a more aim-oriented map. Cloud9 kick off on the T side, with a commanding presence and momentum to back it. Effective aggression meant that the team was able to outplay their opponent, landing an 11:4 half time finish.

The second half saw a slight retaliation from Team Liquid, however it was insufficient to secure an extension to a third map. Rounds went by in favour of Cloud9, with a total of three secured by the T side of Team Liquid. The match locks out at 16:7 in favour of Cloud9, along with the series and Champions' title.
